That's one BFW (Big F'n Wing). You going all ghetto on us girl? Good luck with your (red) rim job.

How are you mounting the BFW? Just curious.

For Tact (or anyone else), I got a set of screens for the wife's car from here: http://www.marketworks.com/StoreFron...=56674&c=58607

They are pretty decent, have a few spots where stones have chipped the coating but are otherwise holding up well.

Hey James, was that you that just joined up over on Mazdas 247? Saw your intro thread and noticed Antoine (one of the owners) jumped right in to say hi. He must have had a slow day.

Wendy I saw you posted on the picture thread, I just don't post on there too much any more. I mostly just skulk around...kind of like I do on here.

Thanks! It's just aching for wider rubber. Whenever these wear out, 245/40 or slightly wider would look nice.

After Fuel yesterday, I hit some of the back roads between Morrow, Maineville and Butlerville. Since it's been about 4 months since I put on the all seasons, some of the turns with the summer rubber + the Teins were put on were faster by 5MPH. The car feels a bit more planted and less understeer.

Nice wheels Steve, I'd like to go to that place for a few shots of Felicia's 8. Where about is it at? Who is taking those pics? They look great.

Sorry we missed everyone at Fuel yesterday, we were at my parents new place helping them prep for paint and new carpet stuff. We finally bit the bullet and put new tires on her 8 also, the Kumho Ecsta 4x were a good call, she let me drive on them today and they're very good for an all season tire.

Big wing Kytten, I think it'll look good when it's done. Can't wait to see it.

It's up off Auburn Ave by Christ Hospital. Street off Auburn is Glencoe. Not too bad during the day, although some guy was walking down the hill towards me with some shopping bags and disappeared into one of the buildings. Some broken glass so you have to watch that. Safety in numbers would be better.

Best time of day would be early morning or late afternoon for pics. And yes, I took them.

Yes, that's me, I need a new perspective, besides most of the posts I have made lately, I have had to erase them or be banned. I really need to knock it off. LOL Really though, there is a guy on there that makes his own hubcentric spacers that I am interested in.

Those pics make your new rims look even better than I expected Steve - what a great decision to get those - your wife is wacked - these look WAY better, just sayin', lol.

The wing is on but will get clear coated tomorrow - I couldn't wait though for the install, lol and yes, it is indeed borrowed from an EVO, lol. I got a great deal on it that made it so if I F'd the F'ing Big Wing up it wouldn't be a huge loss of $. My car has a big *** so it looks fine I think, it accentuates her curves Indeed the only 3 things left I want to mod are #1 - moar low (springs), #2 - possible convert to a Gilmer belt drive - I love my AC though so not sure, #3 - Turbo just beacsue, LMAO. Oh and maybe an actual exhaust someday.

Gas prices suck but when you look this good getting some not sure it matters

^ she's evil looking Wendy. Are those the Rotaryfx corner's on yours? They look fogged up. I was thinking about changing my turn signals, but I have been hearing bad things about quality on the Rotaryfx corner's on here, just wondering what those were? Worse comes to worse, I will tint mine black.

Well, if the BFW doesn't work out, you can always use it as a cheese slicer.

Looks better than I thought it would. Work out the exhaust when you take out another raccoon.

You and I should form a club. My wife doesn't like dark wheels either. She thought I should have gotten silver for the Miata, or kept the white ones it came with on (I like the style of them, not the color nor width). She doesn't understand the concept of increased contact patch, or making something look mean.

I have been on there for a long time, it has gone through a lot of changes. Just know that the management over there (eg Antoine) doesn't like it if you question how the place is run. I know more than a few folks who have been permanently banned from there (there are a bunch of them over at another Mazda forum I'm on).

Wendy, once I get things changed out on the wife's car I'll have a set of Racing Beat springs if you'd like them. James is taking the Tokico D-Specs so I'll have them sitting around collecting dust. I'm sure Kevin would be more than happy to swap them out for you, he should be able to get it done in not more than 5 minutes per corner with all his experience.

Mine went quick because there's no rust on the bolts. It might take 10 minutes/corner on Wendy's car. Just keep James away from it since he gets blood clots banging into suspension parts.

Chief - women always like bright, shiny things. My wife likes gold and sliver a lot.

Yeah I recommend if you get them seal them with a clear sealant before install. One is fine but the other leaks moisture I need to pull it and reseal it when it is a hot sunny day and I can get the moisture out and feel like tearing it apart

Went to my folks today to take some updated pics of the Jeep after I painted the bumpers on Saturday. Decided to take a few pics of the 8.

100 grit sandpaper and steel wool. Works well getting the bug guts off the front end.

I've used some liquid polymer stuff (forget the brand) and it worked OK. My paint isn't too far gone so no clay bar is needed. Kevin just did his car and it looks great. He clay bared it too.

You need to drop your R3 with some new springs. You're now the tall boy in the group.

By the way, you killed that leaf in the last pic and you have an open container in the other pic. Yer busted.

I had to put the beer down in order to take the picture. Duh! And the leaf was asking for it.

Allen, I use turtle wax ice (I use the liquid, although I have heard the paste is better) as it works great on black. I would start with claybar, then if you have a buffer, use a machine polish. Then follow up with a glaze, I use 3M Finesse it II, and finally Turtle wax ice. It will take the better part of a day, but will be well worth it.

I found this link a while ago about detailing, I kind of used it as a guide for me
