You mean to scope or to shoot? I may not be able to get down there for a while as my weekends are pretty full until April. I am not driving my car yet for a shoot yet, but you could go down there and take some quick shots even if it's a phone just to see if it's worth it if you don't want to wait. I like the building looking at it from Deronda Ct looking at Leroy. I think there would make some good shots.

If anyone is into graffiti, there is a place by Lunken called Odell's Sports Bar, here you can check the photos.

Thanks to BrilliantBlack, I took a little ride down to Glencoe. It's not too bad of a place. Not too many needles but a little glass to step around.
I think a Saturday AM shoot could work although some of the best light looks like mid to late afternoon when I was down there.
As for Colerain Ave in Camp Washington: Meh, not too sure we'd get access on weekends. I'm sure I could scope out a few more spots, but it's pretty sketchy around there.
A couple from Spring Grove

All of my stuff has been ordered or picked up with the exception of some ATE Super Blue. Looks like i'll have everything but the RB air-pump block-off plate here by wednesday. Thats the only thing i don't have shipping info on.
I'll probably do a little wrenching on my car this weekend, but not much. I'll be helping ThatNewGuy tomorrow morning. Hopefully we'll get his ride back together and running
BB8: looks like i'll be doing the majority of the wrenching next weekend. The wife has no plans so you guys are welcome to stop by an visit whenever works for you. Just let me know.
If any of you other yahoos want to come over and bs while i work you're welcome as well. Shoot me a pm.
zoomman: I haven't been to a junk yard in years. I'm not sure if any around here have anything for you or not.
byako: grats on getting the car back.

I'm all for meets to get shots. But I just washed the car and got it looking nice today. Probably won't last (black cars, amirite?). Maybe once it gets a little warmer next month and we scope out a place or two to do a shoot?

Glencoe-Auburn Row Houses Scope Shoot
Last minute appointment got cancelled, so I took a drive. Pictures taken from 8:00 to 8:25AM this morning. Some quick shots that aren't great but different angles. I like the last shot the best so I made it black and white. Feel free to alter the pics to make them better, I don't know what I'm doing LOL. Please excuse the dirty black car, it's been in the garage since October.

Jesus, bb. Got some work done. How much traffic was going through there?... My favorite spot was the first set. Wanted to get a 3/4s shot framed by those two pillars. Think it'd look super sexy. Or a 3/4s in front of that sweet looking graffiti.

2 or 3 cars in 25 min, but that is at 8 in the morning. There is no traffic on Glencoe, just the road behind it. I have since changed the colors on some of those taken towards the end at the bottom of Glencoe to BW and they look much better with the buildings on each side going uphill. If I had a better camera/skills, these pictures would have come out a lot better, but you get the idea.

I think a Saturday AM would work fine. When I was up there Friday around 3:15-2:30, there was a car every couple minutes. The wall with the graffiti is right by the corner, so cars coming around pretty much turn right into you. That wall might show up better in the AM with a little light although the other building above it would block the sun for an hour or two after sunrise.

so if you're looking for a cheap "upgrade" to your wheels on that black one and go with a chrome look, i could powder chrome those for you... they'd look pretty sick on that black. Im considering doing it to my green one since the paint is chipping and i need to do some repair work to fix some curb rash.

I say we just take out your springs instead steve.
Zoomman: BB8 has Forgestar F14's to put on. I personally am not a fan of chrome or polished. I actually sanded and sprayed over the RMC (chrome) on my wheels to get rid of it. Did you have any luck finding a junk yard? What parts are you looking for. I know Byako is selling a few things.

Samsung ST600 point and shoot, I didn't do anything just put on auto. I suck at settings, and I didn't want to waste time, just get as many angles as possible. Mazdax3 is using an SLR, which is what you need here, had he done it, it would look a lot better, especially on those first shots between the pillars.
MazdaX3 is right about the traffic cut through. Glencoe itself as it goes down the hill is wide open, but the best shots on Glencoe are taken looking up the hill as in the last ones I took in the AM, IMO. Would look great with an SLR and some more time to get everything right.

The shots look damn good for point and shoot
We're good for next sunday.
Looks like i'll have everything i need by mid week except the air-pump block-off plate. No clue if it's shipped yet I'll probably be wrenching on saturday and a little on sunday if needed.
Got the new tires mounted on the wheels yesterday.. One of the wheels got beat up a little, so i might try to spot paint it saturday as well. It might have been from the car ride, or the fact that that wheel had a few stone chips already. Either way, no big deal. I might go get a can of plastidip and see what i think before i try and fix it. I'm just not sure how good the wheel will look all flat back. At least i can peal it off if i don't like it.
Atredeus, I'll shoot you a pm with my address and number if you want to come hang out. Everyone else is welcome to come over too. Hell, if you have stuff that you want to get done, bring it over and we can try to work it in as well. I might head down to Fuel for som coffee before i get started. It will depend on the weather.

I have an OEM hood in primer black, single disc radio, HVAC controls (maybe), and I think that might be all that's left, I can't remember lol
Definitely willing to negotiate if someone is interested in the parts.
Oh, and yesterday I installed my HKS Hi Power :D
LOVE everything about it.
bumper and fender should be painted by next week.
I also picked up a sheet of aluminum for cheap, so I'm going to try and fabricate an undertray since I don't want to pay 150+ for one.
Mulit-color tinted fogs are sitting in my room waiting to be installed with my 3k HID fog kit.
I'm probably going to vinyl wrap my metra kit faceplate and the silver trim pieces with flat black vinyl.
And I think that's about it for now.
