Nice to meet you Tully! I can't wait to come drive with you guys! I haven't done anything to mine really because I can't bring myself to spend the $-it costs so much to just keep it running good. plus I just bought a condo, so I've been really busy...and broke! Maybe when I get taxes back.....

Don't worry about mods, the car is pretty sweet just bone stock, as you well know. And congrats on the condo! We just paid-off our house 2 years ago and I don't care if I ever see another mortgage again for the rest of my life. But it's nice to own your own place, isn't it?

As far as meets, there's the all-Mazda club in Sugarhouse park on the 21st, I think, but we need an RX-8 exlusive, like we just did at Iggy's 2 weeks ago. That was fun. Only we should drive afterwards.

Weekends are usually best, but not this one, it's my birthday Sunday and I'm probably going snowboarding Saturday. Gotta get in all the AWESOME spring riding! The 21st is doable, we could drive from there, what time do they meet? There's a "Habitats for Humanity" build in the morning that I'm still trying to decide if I want to volunteer for.

Yeah, I'm embarrassed to say it but mod's are a pretty low priority for me, I feel like I'm spoiling myself enough as it is just to be driving it every day!

 

Ah, I resemble that remark. I have been called a lot of things during my life but creepy? ......this is a first. Sorry pretty lady if I come across as "creepy". Jethro, your only a little creepy according to Enigmah....not nearly as bad as myself. Oh the price of getting old, pretty young ladies reject us and call us creepy.

That hurts as much as the first time a cute young cashier at the store called me "sir". A guy ages 20 years in ten seconds, the first time that happens.

 

dude I know how the "sir" thing feels. Im only 21 and the dispatch girl for my work (Talk to her several times a day, she is based out of colorado) called me sir and I was like wtf? no way dont call me sir, im most likely younger then you are!! haha

 

My piers usually call me the grouchy old fart in public but my piers are my age and we are all grouchy old farts. I too have that forlorn feeling when the young cute girls call me sir and I can't age any more or my kids would have to dig a hole . All I can say is my Great Grand Daughter does not think that Grwpaw is creepy!!!!!. Long live the "Creepy Old 8 Drivers"

It was! I miss it terribly but I had spend well over 30 grand keeping that dang thing going . . +all the dang upgrades that i kept doing haha. . . I should have kept it because there was alot of sentimental things on it. . .and It was the first vehicle I build from the ground up completely by myself. . . . but I just had no space for it. . . I kick myself in the *** every day for sellin it

 

I got my summer wheel yesterday! yea!

 

So, is anyone down for a little meet tomorrow? maybe around 3:00, maybe a late lunch.

in other news, the car got ran into today . Looks like I will be getting a new front bumper soon. Wife was going back to work in the parking lot, another car in front of her was stopped because someone was backing out, well wife stopped and the lady in front backed up right into her... TWICE!!!. Its pretty scratched up and dented a bit, also mis aligned with the fender a tad. Nothing serious, just a new bumper and grill needed now.

 

I can meet if they get my new headlight assembly here early and I have it installed by 3.
