^If you are under 100,000 miles, and don't have aftermarket parts on there, you should get a free rebuilt engine if it's blown.

Can you put it on a credit card and pay it off over a couple of months?

Get a small loan from your credit union?

Borrow it from a relative?

Sell some stuff on eBay?

Get a waiter job? (You'll make that in tips in a couple of weeks at the right restaurant)

Just thinking out loud...

I know a guy who won't even consider it unless they are slightly overweight and he is like 5'10' 140lb scrawny guy. Pretty comical.

My Dunlops grip great in summer, but even if it's dry, they slip if the temp is below about 50-55.

hullo ya'll. Havent had a chance to post on here for a bit so I thought I'd let you know whats going on with that b8tmobile(for those of you who dont know me im the sucker in the black 8 with the black rims and the white batman sticker on the back window).

Anyway I dont know if anyone remembers my lil mishap last march where I smashed into a cement wall on I-15...twice...

But after I got that fixed I had a weird engine noise at higher revs where my car would sounds like chewbacca, or a suburu. It went away for a bit but it keeps coming back (accompanied by a loss of power but its possible thats in my head). Seems worse when its been running for awhile. My buddy and I think it may have something to do with an exhaust manifold hole or something but I still dont get why it would come and go like that... I drove to Long Beach this weekend and on the way there it was SO bad! sounded like it was going to fall apart! But when I got there?? HOLY HELL! I felt like I was in a Porsche! I know the air density gives us a power boost but i seriously felt like I had 30 more hp and the engine noise was back to its harmonic orgasm inducing tones. I come back to Utah though and its back to chewbacca... im doing 65 in 6th on I-80 near 13th E. I put the peddle to the metal and I actually LOST speed WTF? Its been resting for a day and when I started it up it was idling at about 3200. Thats alot higher than normal for my 8 but It was running just fine again afterwards...weird stuff...I also have and engine light turn on every so often but it goes away on its own. The first time this happened i took it to autozone and they told me it was because my intake was making me run lean so I've been hesitant to take it anywhere right away when the engine light pops on because its usually gone by the next time i start it up. Anyway some weird stuff...

P.S. If you've never had a chance to drive your 8 at sea level i recommend you plan on it sometime! You'll fall in love with it all over again! and incase the above picture horrified you i assure my 8 is prettier than ever! as you can see here! vv

I think your describing the marbles in a blender that is often referred to. What octane rating are you using, how many miles are on it, better yet how many miles are on your current plugs, and coils? Is the cel solid or does it flash? Also could potentially be a dying cat. Sure does looks good though.

Good to see Darius still among the living!

I think the gravel in a can sound is only on start-up...thats what I experienced, and, like raleigh, it went away when I started premixing (at 4,000 miles, now at 8,500).

hmmm... Well it's an 05' with 43k. Its definitely not just on start up. It actually sounds best on start up and its seems to get worse the longer i run it. Like i said on the way to Long Beach it sounded absolutely horrid. I've never put anything but Chevron premium in it. I bought the car with 19k miles on it so I'm sure the coils and plugs have never been replaced. You think thats it? I really dont wanna go to the dealer...

oh and about the engine light. It usually comes on solid and it only does it during winter months... Its usually when i drive it hard but sometimes it comes on for no apparent reason. Only once has it flashed. Whats the difference? Should I be scared?!
