Had a small, very very small rainstorm this morning. Supposed to snow all day but it's sunny right now.

Weather men have trouble finding their way into work every morning - how would you expect them to predict the weather......

Notice any new states and names on the Vegas meet list?

You assume I know what goes in the blank spots? I'm just happy to be here. I have no clue what the hell is going on anymore.

I drove the 8 on Monday and Tuesday. Hopefully it will be dry at least one day this weekend.

It's been a remarkably snow-free winter up here. All the snow has tracked south.

Well, we got it pretty bad last night eh. I got about 6" overnight and it's still coming down. The mountians got 20" in some places.

Looks like I'm going to have a great weekend.

Are we going to see you at any meets this year, kobe? BTW, I resigned as club president, bose is the main man now. I have too much going on to give the club the attention it requires, for the forseeable future.

Today I installed the Axial Flow short shifter. This thing is pretty neat! And I see how it works. If you spend less time shifting, the wheels have power to them more of the time. You accellerate faster. A faster quarter-mile without adding horsepower. Too cool.

Yeah man i've had mine on for about 3 weeks. You can DEFINITLY tell a difference. for some reason my reverse has started sticking this past week. About 1/3 of the time I try to stick it in reverse it either won't budge into gear at all or it goes half way in and i hear a ZzzZzZz of my gears trying to change. After the ZzzZzzZ sound i take it out of gear then put it back in and it works perfectly. Oh and I noticed if it won't go in at all if i roll back in Neutral like half a foot then it goes in fine. is my gear not lining up? I'm positive the install was perfect and it worked fine the first 2 weeks or so... i'm a post this on the Forum also.

Well, mine's only been in for two days, and since my 8 isn't my daily driver, it's not getting much road time. But so-far it works perfectly. Seemed a bit stiff at first but it's getting smoother every time I use it.

I did compare the machining to my stock shifter when I had them both in my hand and the AF shifter seemed to be well-matched to the stock unit.

You may want to check that none of the bolts that hold the retaining plate in place have come loose. I'd pull it and examine it closely, if I were in your position.

"What Happens in Vegas" Meet - 2010

http://www.twitchdesigns.com/images/vegas_8's_a.png

Announcement of the third annual Las Vegas "What Happens In Las Vegas" Meet. This event is open to all rotary vehicles

Date of the meet: June 18th and 19th, 2010

Friday evening gathering: In & Out Burgers on West Sahara

Friday evening party: When we leave the In & Out burger, we will caravan to "Las Vegas Mini Gran Prix (outdoor track) where we can ride the carts by the hour ($18.00 per hour) and a no host bar at Chili's restaurant bar.

Saturday drive meet point: In & Out Burgers on West Sahara 10am

Saturday evening party: Hoffbrahause , Las Vegas, 7pm

Rooms will be available at discounted rates thru @!!narotordo

For the ones that want to stay off the strip: I just confirmed I can do coned off parking!
You will not lose your spot unless another 8 takes the spot lol
How it works: Cone in spot. Remove cone and park. Place cone behind car. When you leave the spot place a cone there so no one piston takes your spot.
Our back lot is now walled in by a 10' brick wall with tons of light and the security guard is a ex RX-8 owner. PM me for room info

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!

And if you're not Irish, too damn bad. I am.

Try to have a good time, anyway.
