Ok Ok by popular demand here is the close up picture... Nuff said. LOL..... So the tire isn't all clean as I drive a mile of dirt roads every morning. But I am enjoying the looks from everyone and suddenly everyone and their mother want to race me.

Love the new look Ocho! What brand are they?

Sik...... In answer to your ? about the BBQ. Tom said that they were going to have it sometime in June and that they were going to post it on thier web site
http://rotaryrx.com/ .

I also have to agree with Kewl that we could really stand to have more of an 8 presance on May 6th at the next AutoX. Honestly I know that I did not push the 8 to the limit since it was my first time but it would nice to let everyone else know that the 8 is not a slow poke. Any one up to trying it? I have to say it was a blast!!!

So when are we all going to meet up for a drive again. Have some breakfast and then do a trip to the top of the Sandias. Short trip to maybe get a bigger group to meet. We should get the 7's along for the drive again. Since everyone seems to have some new upgrades to their cars. Time to show off the cash and energy that we spent on the 8's.

I'm up for any time, too. But I might not be driving the 8!! My turbo's oil seal blew after 30,000 miles. The thing was smoking like a chimney! Really embarassing to drive... I had to pull it off to be rebuilt. ~$400. I don't think that 30k miles is a bad life time, though...

I'm driving an Audi A4 V6 with 220HP, but it feels sooooo slow... sux....

I'm up for any day, but this coming Saturday. I'm joining a meeting for the sports truck group, but Sunday is open. MadDog should we do the Range for Breakfast or the place we did lunch on Highway 14 on the way to the crest?

How long before you get the turbo back? Remember the autox on 6 May. We want to get as many 7's and 8's there as we can....it's free!!

Not sure, we had some thoughts thrown out, but then nothing but silence. I posted something on the RX7 site and no responders there.. Last thing I heard is that weather wasn't going to be all the great this weekend.. But we all know how that goes around here. I know next weekend of the 6th is the church autocross. Also I don't think I can go to the PHX auto event. Damn vacation days are all taken.. I'm pissed, really wanted to go.. By the way if you contact the AZ rotary club they will get you VIP parking, ect for a package deal.. So check out more with the AZ rotary club if you are really going to go to the PHX May 12-13 event..

Ocho

This is a way that you can change you luck! You can hit other things instead of them hitting you!! Nah I understand, I am going to have to get a new winsheild soon. Last week my wife was driving the 8 and a rock came up .........well you guessed it there is now a crack in it starting in the lower right corner and it runs about 18" towards the left. But I hope to see you there it was a blast last time.

Well good to see you Fred, Jim and Will.

Ok next time I'm running my car in the autocross... I will make sure I don't have a million pounds of pet supplies and other crap to fly around in my car. LOL.. Well I am getting info on the Santa Fe Event set for 5/28/06 that you pay 25.00 for a day of fun. I will post info about it little later. To all the other 8 owners, what has been going on? We haven't heard anything froms Csaba since last year, Maddog whats the latest.. We heard rumors of bad news... Ronnie needs to show off his skills in the autocross as well.

We need to get a drive organized for the top of the Sandias. Thinking like the 20th.. give everyone some time to make plans.

Hey MadDog, we hadn't heard from you in sometime...glad to hear the turbo is up and running again. Any review on the larger exhaust you'd like to pass on?

Next autocross is June 3rd. Hopefully you will make it, but I think that much power (of your 8) will be a problem. I think that might be why some of the powerhouse 7's haven't made it yet.

See if you can get some on the 7's to come along and prove us all wrong. And help the rotary present a better showing. The WRX is kicking butt....every bodies.

I have to agree with Kewl MadDog. It is great to hear from you. I dont know if anyone else has noticed the link Sik posted 3 up from here in response to me but he sold his 8. There is some interesting details to be read if you click on the link. As for the powr issue and the AutoX I am not to certain about MD having to much power. The black WRX that was out there it is a turbo as well. As to weather the AWD helps him to be able to use it or not I can not say because I dont know, plus there were also other turbo cars there that night as well. I think MD should at least try it and see if it is to much or it is just right.

Sik I will take you up on your offer that is if you can make it on the 3rd of June. I would like you to ride along with me on the first run of the night and critique me then have you drive my 8 on the second (while I ride along) to give me comparison to go by then I can try the 3rd run of the evening and see if I can improve my times. Let me know if you are up for it.

The scary thing is... the fastest car was actually the Saturn... he just always knocked over 1 cone . I'm surprised to see the miatas getting beat this year, they've usually dominated in years past.

I'd love to see what a turbo'ed 8 can do... and some of those 7's...
