Interceptor Tuning

I was planning to bring my car to KD rotary to get it dyno tuned since they are suppose to be very well versed with microtech ecu's. But its looking like they won’t be able to fit me in till after Thanksgiving, so I am looking elsewhere. I checked out Peter Ferral Supercars which incidentally is right next to where I live, were as KDR is 3.5 hours away, and they can see me next Monday. The odd thing is they want my car for a week. That seems ludicrous to me. Tuning should be a couple hours one day. Does anyone else think this is crazy?

they may want to road tune it for part throttle...but if they're really gonna use the car the entire week, your bill would be like $3200 for tuning

No it really does cost this much if you want a good tune

Not for a street car.

IMO 1 week is too long, unless they are very busy and won't be able to get to it for a few days.

To the best of my knowledge the guys at PFS have not yet tuned a car with the Interceptor-X. Perhaps they are planning for a "worst case scenario" to cover themselves on the time frame. Everyone, please feel free to have your installer/tuner contact Mazsport for any tech. support questions. Scott

My guys should be calling next Friday (11/18). I found out they did not have microtech tuning experience but could figure it out. They'll need help on which screens to adjust.

Advice: Send a copy of the tuning instructions to the tuner before the dyno session.

Question

Got a quick question. I installed the interceptor and in the MIcrotech software the vacuum screen shows -20 HG. Is that ok? or is it supposed to be +20 HG?

Just want to make sure my installation is correct.
Thanks

No need to post your question in every Mazsport thread (I count 3 already). One post will do next time.
