Yah!
I'm also gonna actually eat something for lunch so I don't go all light-headed at the 2-hour mark.

I thought I was totally level-headed tonight (compared with Tuesday, where I was actually losing consciousness sporadically).

I can't say the same for me. Going over my notes from the last session I am completely lost.
Any way you could possibly send me just a quick summary for the changes we make to get base FI map?

Look at the Timing spreadsheet..it shows how he scales out the fuel and timing load values...and has values for the timing

Fuel values he richened up and smoothed down from the high load OEM values

What else do you have questions about?

Now that was a good session to wrap up on - thanks. I think the trick here, is to actually know what map does what, and how they interact with each other.

If I take another stab at my NA tune, there are lots of changes for me to make over my first attempt. And for FI, it is all allot clearer to me now.

Good job MM, and thanks for a few laughs along the way...

MM,

When do you expect the next seminar will be scheduled for? Knowledge is power and if I go FI it would be good to be somewhat self sufficient.

Later,

Chris

There is no schedule.
If enough people show interest, I'll set one up.

Each time I do the WEBcast, it is a little different because it takes on the tone of the participants and different aspects get more or less coverage.

You can call me biased but I honestly felt that the seminar Jeff just previously completed was well worth the cost being charged.

The three major parts of the seminar was learning to use the AP software, tuning the RX8 specifically and general tuning. The information gained from the seminar can be applied to tuning any car in general but obviously it is geared to our car.

It's a lot of information but in total it was 12 hours or more of total instruction with the possibility for more depending on the level of comprehension.

So yeah, money well spent if you are interested in tuning on your own or even just wanting to understand the process. At the very least you will better appreciate the level of sophistication that goes into creating custom tunes for hundreds of RX8 owners.

Only useful if you wish to learn how to tune your car using the Cobb AP.

Especially on boosted applications

If there is sufficient interest, I would like to offer the RX-8 AccessPORT Tuning WEBCast Seminar again, starting in 2 or 3 weeks (August, 2011), over the usual 4 days total - Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday on successive weeks.

Information about this seminar can be found in the first post of this thread.

Post up here or e-mail me directly at info @ mazdamaniac . com (delete the spaces)
