If the OBDII port works with another codereader and does not power the AP...but the AP works in your computer...I'd say your OBDII dongle is shot.

I tested the OBD outlet with another code reader and it's working with that.

The AP worked fine the last time I had it plugged in.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do?

I'm going to check cobb's webpage and see if I can even order just the cable from them.

Thanks,

Simon
You might need to warranty the dongle, though I would try pulling the OBD-II connector from the bracket, remove the backing clip and pull the pins one-by-one and lightly bend the internal clip on each to tighten up the connection.
I had sporadic disconnects with my own AP and this was the fix.

Thanks for the help. I looked and one of the pins was slightly bent. I was able the get the tip of my finger nail on it and bend it back and now it works.
Now I can get my logs ready for Tuesday!

Hi Jeff,

could you kindly take a look at these logs again... I have done some rectification on the vaccum leak that has been troubling the car for 1 month plus....

Do let me know if there is still any leak. Hopefully there is none so i can make payment to continue the service.

REMINDER -

Always look at the Current Tuning Schedule to be sure when the next tuning dates and times are.

There will occasionally be some sessions added or removed on different days and times.

The next session is Tuesday the 20th at 4:00pm to 7:00pm Arizona time (23:00 to 02:00 UTC/GMT).

SCHEDULE CHANGE:

Always check the schedule HERE

The regularly scheduled tuning day will be moving from Tuesdays to Wednesdays, beginning October 19th.

There will be no scheduled tuning the first week of November, which coincides with SEMA in Las Vegas.
The new Wednesday schedule will resume the following week.

Thanks!

Hi Jeff,
I recently purchased the AP with the custom calibration. I understand you can adjust the OMP flow rates and the coolant fan trigger temperature. At what stage is this done? On the base downloaded calibration or after the google talk session?
Thanks

Jeff, I went to go and update my calibration 6 month window through your site where it says $99 special, and at the PayPal window it shows $299.

Can you let me know whats going on so I can jump into Wednesdays session?

ATTENTION -

If you are currently running a MazdaManiac base calibration, you will need to contact me as soon as possible for an updated version.
There is a bug in the calibrations that is tied to the newest firmware that may cause the AccessPORT to become unstable, lock up in the monitor mode and/or cause the calibration to be incorrectly loaded into the PCM.
This seems to only affect the North American and European calibration, but please feel free to contact me for an update no matter what your location is if you are still on a "v4.0.0" calibration.
Those with "v4.0.1" and higher needn't worry as your calibration should already be updated, especially if you received your most recent file within the last 3 months.

Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

With this new wrinkle in the AP, will it still mask a CEL?

Most people just tape their AP over the CEL.
So, yes - it will mask a CEL.

BTW - Did I ever fix that 420 or whatever on your car?

MM,

I may have went over the 6 month period for the calibration service due to engine failure (replaced) and a bad tranny which I just got replaced as well. Any chance I can still get on the calibration band wagon or do I need to repurchase the service?
