I'm gonna rewrite the instructions to reflect the changes.
I just need time.

Thanks everyone for visiting today!

Jeff thanks for the new flash ( v.4_0_3) yesterday.
Unfortunately it was based on an incorrect WOT run.
The dyno operator wound out 2nd gear and then went to 5th gear to fuel cut.
So a third gear pull was never submitted.
I noticed this last night when I saw 158 mph @9100 rpm on the submitted datalog.
I guess I should reflash back to v4_0_2 and redo the WOT run.
Please confirm. I did get some 4th gear pulls for what it’s worth.

3rd-6th use the same tables if I recall correctly, so it should be fine. When Jeff does dyno tuning the runs are normal done in 4th.

BTW he probably saw the speed in the logs and already knew what happened.

There are fuel maps for 1st-2nd gear, 3rd-4th gear, & 5th-6th gear.
Atleast this is what I remember from the MM seminar.
I was hoping that Jeff would repond that he did note the high speeds and it would not affect the tune.
I don't think he can do much without a 3rd or 4th gear pull though.
That is why I mentioned that I had some 4th gear pulls

Might not matter too much, but you can bring it up next time.

5th and 6th are on their own map on the 2004 and 2005.
Otherwise, you are correct.

Dyno shop agreed that they made a mistake and will redyno this Saturday.
Should I reflash back to v4_0_2 before the pulls or just keep the v4_0_3 cal?
Car is running great btw can't wait to get to Summit Point Raceway on April 9th

Jeff, I submitted my 3 files and 11 deadly questions on Saturday but haven't received a confirmation yet. I was just wondering if you received my e-mail or if you haven't gotten to it due to your back log.
Thanks,

Simon

I did read the first page, I don't think my post was rude in any way and I did mention that I realized I may not have gotten a response due to Jeff being backlogged. Either way, I don't post on this board often and I just saw this thread today and I wanted to make sure I didn't make a mistake. The e-mail I received after purchasing the Cobb didn't mention any back logs it said I would receive confirmation after 3 days and have my tune within 15 bus days.
If you don't have anything constructive to say or add then why not just keep your thoughts to yourselves.
It was a simple question addressed to Jeff.

The submission process is no longer to email the logs and questions and wait for a response. The new process is that at pre-set dates and times, Jeff will host a live chat event and do a real-time chat to exchange the information.
The details on how all of this is done is in the first post of this thread.

I did read the first page, maybe you should re-read it as it clearly states that you can still use the original e-mail method if unable attend the session on April 19th. Since April 19th is my wedding anniversary and I don't know what I'm doing that day I may not be able to attend the on line session.

You Submitted on a SATURDAY.
Give it a few days for Flashwing to get to it.

However, you are highly encouraged to take advantage of the new system as the old one is being phased out.

Thanks man,

I figured you guys just hadn't gotten to it yet but I wasn't sure (I just saw this thread yesaterday and in the original e-mail it says 3 business days for a confirmation if everything was submitted properly) and since I'm not a very computer savvy guy I wanted to make sure I didn't screw something up and make sure my submissed wasn't being discarded.

If I can take advantage of the new system on April 19th I definately will, I appreciate you getting back to me.

Jeff,

Could you please send me the USPS tracking number? Spanish customs are horrible since the privatization and sometimes they don't even notify you for weeks when they have something stopped for payment until you call them with the tracking number. My mail is juanjux @ gmail dot com.

Thanks!

I was planning on taking part in the session on April 19th but I will be upgrading my fuel pump to the Walbro 255lph unit on April 23rd.
Should I wait until after I upgrade my fuel pump and then take part in the next session after that or is it worth while for me to still attend the April 19th session?

Thanks,

Simon

The fuel pump shouldn't affect the tuning too greatly, if at all.

Jeff, will this way of tuning continue for the foreseeable future?
