Got pulled over once so far for no front plate, but got a warning. It was a highway patrol officer and he had an officer in training with him. I stopped to wash the car and saw them about a mile up the road 5 minutes later with a BMW Z3 pulled over (also had no front plate). I think I was just a training opportunity for that one.

I have gotten a speeding ticket (unwarranted as I was not really speeding), but it was night and he didn't notice the lack of a front plate or he could have gotten me twice.

From what I know (my brother is a Texas cop and has lots of officer friends that I have met) most will not pull you over just for not having a front plate, but often will give you a warning or a ticket in conjunction with another offense...although they all said that highway patrol are the worst and will pull you over for anything that they can get (Sorry if I offend any highway patrol, but this was just what I was told).

i havn't been pulled over yet *knock on wood* but i have custom front grills,, however my dad one day decided to take my 8 for a spin and got pulled over and received a warning for no front plates,, but for some reason im surprised i havn't being an asian guy,, since asians tend to get these dumb tickets the most..
