Not alot going on over this way. I'm working on getting some coilovers and maybe another suprise but I don't want to spoil it so I'm not saying anything yet.

Thinking about doing a scouting run down around Wilburton this weekend or next. I've plotted some roads for a possible cruise. I need to check road quality. The trip is based off of the Talimina Drive from WIlburton to Mena, AR.

oh...so hey guys.....bad news. I'm selling my 8 I said I never would and do not want to, but I need a more economical car right now. Looking for something that gets about 15 more MPG than the 8. Looking at some cool cars though. I really like the Nissan Juke (little crossover). It has 170 bhp with a turbo.

Gotta sell the 8 first though.

 

Sorry I was unable to get back with you RotaryKillz. We had a fun drive to mena though. I still want to see your carpc. I'm trying to get everything together to turbo my car. A good carpc could keep me from having to buy to many gauges.

hey long time no talkie.. sorry guys have had a rough time with my move.. i live in bartlesville now.. i now am doing hair up here.. i am getting my apartment monday.. im excited.. i miss you guys we need a meet sooo bad.. i love my pink calipers.. there sexy guys. oh i got a print out on my car loan i only owe 11,900.00 from 23,700.00 woot woot.. i had a low out the other day the last rim i had left to hurt lol just my luck.. but im doing well up here.. i want to see all u guys! maybe we can have a meet soon. im only 47 miles away straight down 75 hwy from tulsa. its a straight shot.

Thanks for offering. I think I'm going to buy a new one from MM so that I get the tuning with it. It's going to be hard to get everything done by Dec. I just kind of fell into this turbo kit. I still need guages to. At least the cobb can function as my AFR for now. Was thinking of doing a car pc for guages. It's either that or a molded 3 pod with AFR, Boost, EGT and then a rb guage cluster to finish them out. Just xmas is a bad time to try and gather this stuff up. I'll just have to be easy with the boost till I can get them completed

november 9th. im loveing it up here..i see so many rx8's.. we are getting r own place i love my job. jim u defanitly need to make a trip up andcome see our apartment hang out we could take a drive.. alice also. miss all u guys. plus u guys gotta check out the pink calipers. all the 8's i come across they dont seem like there big fans of them tho. kinda not very nice ppl.

ok guys so im driveing and my car starts backfireing jerking and the engine light is flashing at me then it dies now it sits about 1 mile away from the house up here n bville it will crank but will not kick over everything else wroks so im going with i lost compression or a rotor either way i haft to find a way to get it to mazda oh boy this should b fun and from there im going to sell her...

 

Well thats sounds like the time i "seized" my rear rotor... Take it to mazda and they will do tests then hopefully tell you they are gonna put a brand new engine under warranty. The only expense to you should be new coils and spark plugs. Hopefully.

 

Wow jen that sucks, so even with a new engine are you going to sell it? If you decide to part it out let me know haha i have a truck but the trailer i have sucks right now but if you need the help let me know. i could come up if you needed like tuesday or wednesday most likely. IDK where the mazda dealer is in tulsa though

I would defintely go buy coils and plugs from the auto parts store don't out them in just take them with you with the receipt. Mazd here will charge you $600 for them. That's 400 more than you can get them for.

 

yeah there not doing anything without my consent. that would be **** and on them for trying im so sick of mazda jacking me around when they cant get there **** straight in the first place. i hate dealing with mazda. and thanks alice i appriciate that. gosh after the 3rd engine i just want to give up ya know. i love my car but its like i never know whats going to happen next there r suprises around every corner w a 8. now i have other stuff to pay for and no money to fix my car when she breaks im in a bind and have no idea whats else to do.. i cant even take my carto nelson until i save up money due to paying rent and deposit gosh money issues r rough. it always happens at the worst times.

 

Hey Jim,

As far as your gauges go, the Turbo gauges data doesn't go through OBDII does it? Those usually hook up directly from your turbo sensors I thought. Maybe not? Not sure. If that's the case, not sure how you will get those to run through a CarPC.

Having said that, if they DO run through the OBDII somehow, you could simply get a Bluetooth and hook up to your phone, assuming you have a smartphone with an OBDII app (Both iPhone and Android have em).

Doing it all over again too, I would change things up a bit and go with a built in (or even detachable) 7" Android tablet and just AUX it to your RX8 audio.

If I don't sell my car by End of Year, I'll be doing a back to stock sale though and selling off the CarPC.

 

No the boost doesn't or egt but everything else does oil pressure and temp, coolant temp, afr and some other stuff. I think it would be cheaper especially after the cost of molding the gauge pod
