I am sooooo game for a meet this weekend or next wknd, but we will have nd's son next wknd. If we do anything on saturdays i wont be out of class until 4 every sat until may.

 

Cruise: Sunday Feb, 27th. This will be a high speed cruise.

Meet: QT at Hard Rock 12:00pm, Leaving 12:30 for Spavinaw.

We will be stopping in Locust Grove at Harps to meet more people, then grabbing lunch before heading to some nice roads. We will be returning to Tulsa later that evening. Look forward to meeting some new people.

Now as for turbo vs s/c, that is a conversation better saved for the meet. I say search, search ,search. I prefer a turbo but I have done all the little things to allow mine to run smoothly when it is installed. Either way is good. It comes down more to reliability vs available hp gain.

High speed cruise... More like Jimmy going as fast as he can and everyone else trying to keep up. I just couldn't keep up with you the last time we went out there. And after we did my shocks I took it a lil to fast on my own and threw out the back end and went flying sideways down the road, gotta love Locust Grove.

 

I would never. Lol. I can't run full out still need my ignition back. I don't trust oem coils. Hopefully ordering my bushings this week.

 

Alrighty, I want to get rid of my old rims that have been sitting in my shed. I only have 3 out of the 4 seeing as one was crushed by a hummer. They are rear 18x9.5 and front 18x8.5, you can get the additional front wheel at tirerack.com. I am wanting to go to this...think we will be back in Tulsa by 5PM? I have somewhere I have to be at 6PM. If not, I will have to catch everyone at the Texas8 or if we have a meet in march for Tulsa.

 

It should be close to that. We may stay out a little longer but if we do. The roads aren't confusing at all and it would be simple for you to make an early retreat back to Tulsa if necessary. I urge you to come it will be fun.

Oh and QT my ignition should be back tomorrow. I'll install it fri night or Sun before the meet. The new rim will also be in today.

It all depends on what you're looking for. If you just want a little drop and a comfy ride, go with Racing Beat springs. If you want a little stiffer then go with TEIN or Eibach, I'm running Tein S-techs w/ tokico d-spec struts. I suggest doing springs and struts at the same time. On that point I love my d-specs but spending roughly $600 on springs and struts. I wish I would have known about the enduratech coilovers. They are $900 shipped from there website.

You have to decide what you like. Springs and struts are easy. Let me know and you can come up here and we'll have a mod day and install them. For coilovers, you really need to find someone that knows how to setup a suspension.

 

Had a great time cruising today. We definitely got lucky on the weather Pig n Out was really good. Great idea Jen. Thanks to the couple if fc's that joined our trip.

 

Sorry I didnt make it today guys...had family things to do with wife and kids. Renesis...anyway to meet up next weekend for a little bit to meet and introduce? I would like to cruise down to Dallas with you the Thursday of the Texas8 since it looks like we will be both crashing at the same place that night before the caravan down to the hotel the next day with the Dallas crew.

 

Highspeed that shouldn't be a problem. I'll work til 4 on sat and I'm off Sundays. Just let me know.

 

I didn't end up making it out there either, daaaamn. My 8's new midpipe is REALLY raspy so I was kinda embarrassed anyways...it sounds real real bad. I hope I can get to formally introduce myself soon, I was excited to meet all of you! I'm always up for a little driving (speeding) My stomping grounds are around 81st and mingo, so maybe some day i'll candidly meet one of you, I actually did a while back when I was washing my car at the Fiesta Mart right there. Hopefully by the time there's another meet my car well won't sound like a bumble bee :/

thanks jim.. we really did get lucky with the weather.. i had a blast.. i did a lilttle betterthis time at keeping up... i need new rotors or need them machined idk and def new tires.. i want to set up my handling performance like urs jim without lowering it again.. i do want to ride with you rickie had a blast.. lol i cant wait to get together again..

Hell of a time!!! Glad summer is comming up and we will be able to get together more. We need to make a meet where EVERYONE!!!!!! can make it. Hell make it 2 months in advance if we have to. We need the whole crew together.

I agree, me and Jim been talking about a pretty good run we are gonna plan in Eureka Springs, AR. It will be kinda like a 2 day event. But no details yet, Jim still gotta go and run the roads some more. And considering hes takin his car to do that. I got dibbs on going with to test em out!

 

Well, just met with Carlos, and we came to a deal. I'm going to get his car on Saturday and I'll once again be part of the 8 group.
