"ROAD TRIP" to Austin, TX. Area:
Sorry if some of you feel like you're not being heard. The only place I can check the list is at work and since they are paying my mortgage, I can't keep tabs on everything that's going on here.
I am hoping we can use the certificates. There is no guarantee that we will be able to. I booked the rooms yesterday for fear that they will not have any by the time we receive these certificates. In fact, I think I booked the last 5 suites.
Thanks to all who registered for the certificates.
I will keep you posted to new developments when I can get on here, or I will email Jenkins if it's urgent for him to post it.

I just read this same thread at "my other home" and just now realized that is the weekend of my birthday. I'll have to make sure my parents and sibblings don't plan on coming from Arkansas, but it sounds like fun.

Lime Creek is posted 40mph and you occasionally get up past that, only to have a blind hairpin slam you down to earth. Its listed as one of the top ten motorcycle roads in TX.

It depends on how quickly we want to return. It's a really fun road to see what your car can do, but it is very important that you not cross the center lane as there are sharp turns. It may take us an hour off our course to head back because it is winding and at times slow.
I'll try to map it so we can see and decide. I think we need to determine what time everyone needs to be back to DFW.

well i am going to padre this next week-end and we are getting a free place to stay. so as long as i don't spend to much money drinking down there and don't go to jail or anything like that then i will be able to go to both.

well it should be interesting...i'm going with 2 girls from work...one is my ex but we are friends...but you know how those things go. we are going to fight or be friends the whole trip...oh well. i haven't had a vacation in about 6 years...i need this regardless!!! plus it is SPRING BREAK down there!!!!
Hmmmm.... we need to check the calendar to see when would be a good time to go while we're on the way to Austin. I'm goin' to Florida in July so that's the only month that wouldn't be good for me to go. I'm thinking either S. Padre or Gulf Shores unless you have another suggestion. :D
