congrats bro. My 2nd daughter is scheduled for delivery on the 3rd of August so I know exactly whats up. Only 1 more month to go here in LA. Getting my Kenwood ddx514 put in today. Ill try to get some pics of it when its done. Also, I have a replica MS wing that I bought painted and never bothered to get installed for sale if anyone is interested. Im trying to get a PS3 so if you have one to trade let me know lol.

What's up everyone. I've been on the site on and off for the last few years, but never really said too much until I noticed you guys from the OKC area. I'm in Tulsa right now, but it would be awesome whenever school comes around (and I'm in Norman) if there was a place and a few friendly 8 owners to meet up with (in Tulsa or OKC area). I've never been to an event or anything, but it sounds like something I could certainly get in to.

As for my 8...
It's a velocity red 05', MT, has Racing beat exhaust and CAI, tint on the windows, clear corners and a couple of interior lights added on.

Anyways, let me know what's going on down there (or in Tulsa) within the next few weeks and maybe I'll be able to come. Nice to meet you all!

Ya I saw that too. I don't know too much about that, I asked someone but I never got an answer. I got 8th in Novice, I would have ended up 3rd if I didn't hit a cone on my fastest 2 runs. I thought I was clean too. Oh well...Next time.

Hey J, glad you made it back. There is also IFO Tulsa in Sept. I know Tom is coming up for the show and my mechanic is putting his Turbo 8 in as well. I am thinking about entering the show even though I'm not even close to ready, but just to add more Mazdas.

I am still planning on going, however, my daughters turning 14 on the 19th, and my oldest son is turning 19 on the 20th!

If i go, i would want to go up the night before and stay in a hotel, then go to the show.

Again, it all depends on what my kids have planned for their b-day. As always, they come first.

I haven't been to any shows since IFO Noble, has been way too hot here, until these past few days.

 

I have been driving around with my hood off for about 2 weeks, getting the CF Hood clear coated and buffed. just completed a battery re-locate this past weekend, moved the battery to the spot where the washer fluid tank was and removed the panel underneath the intake above the battery.

it sure helped with cooling the motor down, moving all that stuff! now alot of the heat is blown by the fans up and out much easier, noticed almost a 15 degree drop on my gauges, and talk about a huge empty space in front of the motor!

Making room for the pettit racing supercharger!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll likely be heading out in the AM on Sunday and as mentioned will happily join a convoy that morning. Didn't really consider entering the show however, just as a spectator. I might change my mind tho - who else is thinking about showing? I haven't changed much exterior-wise, mostly performance, but keep her real clean!

 

Just let me know when you guys are going to cruise out. I live in Edmond so if you stop by here on the way out to Tulsa that would be great. Just let me know when and where. I've been dying to cruise out for a while now. Only cruising I did this summer was me and 1 or 2 other guys from the Evolv NOLA club in Louisiana.

 

Unfortunately Tom, there really isn't anything super close to the show. Just a heads up N75 to 244 is under construction. They have everyone detouring around downtown right now. They may have it closer to completion towards the show. I would just come down 44 to 169 then head north to Raceway park. Look forward to seeing everyone. I'm headed to Austin for a week. I'll check for updated construction info when I return and give you guys a heads up.
