oh dang, I've heard good and bad about speedy align. There's supposed to be a guy named Dave that works at the NTB in Round Rock that knows his shizzle too, I'll probably be getting mine done at some point there

played forza 2 last night, physics were pretty sweeeet. I started my career mode with a factory blue FC, so far I've lightened it up a bit and added intake/exhaust. I've also ran people off the road and pwned some barriers too I'm surprised folks who are wanting weightless wheels and such are sticking to 18's/19's and not doing 17's, if I wanted to go the weight saving route, I'd be pulling carpet out left and right (and back seats), and slapping on a set of hyperlight 17" something or other with some nice width/meat to them. I'd also be buying titanium/carbon bits all over the place lol

Twink let me know how the RPF1's look on your silver. I don't want to make a look a like but the rims are so aggressive looking. I am getting the FEED front bumper anyways so no worries...

I actually already looked into that myself...and at some point down the road I fully intend on getting 17's...the problem is that 17x9.5-10.5 w/ the appropriate offset is hard to find and the ones I DID find were stupid expensive...the weight savings were only about 2-3lbs so I could not justify the cash...when I get moved into the run group which allow you to use R compounds, I'll get more interested in making the move as it would also mean much cheaper tires...I'll also need something to remain competetive with the others.

The carpet has to come out already and most of the wieght savings you can do have already been done within reason. Also the backseat does not really weigh very much so its kind of pointless as its mainly a foam cusion.

Finally due to the cost of parts I'm going to be slowly upgrading over time...first things on the hit list...wheels/tires...next...rotors and brake components to reduce unsprung weight...after that suspension...

By next year I'll be looking to go forced induction instead of further lightening up the car...

After that point, I'll move back into lighten it up mode...

Ha...I dont really care when/if people copycat...I'm a function before form person so whatever works feel free to use...besides the more people that look like me, the more plausible deniability I can use...muhhaa haa haa

I suppose, but every little bit amounts to a big bit so I figure if I was serious about competing/weight/etc. I'd be yanking everything and anything that was unnecessary, such as carpet, a/c,passenger seat and all that, I'd probably be pulling plastic covers off stuff under the hood as well lol
You could probably pick up some fn01's in a 17 for cheap, probably not the lightest thing out there though

Here's how I see competing. Unless I'm finishing just a hair out of 1st then there isn't any need for me start ripping apart my nice car. Finishing 1st isn't that important to me ... knowing I didn't leave anything on the track in terms of time from my driving means a hell of a lot more. Also, if I was seriously competing I'd be adding a few hundred pounds with a cage (I'm already going to do that because I'm a big chicken **** and the 140mph speeds scare the **** out of me ... though I still never take my foot off the gas).

BTW there is a huge reason why competitive racers use those large wheels ... size of brakes. Kiss any BBK goodbye you decide to go 17s.

Twink do you have an idea of what particular type of brand? Tiens, Rb, Tanabe, Pettie, Rotars, etc, etc.
