Thanks, it was quite a shock. As kids in elementary and middle school he and I never messed with drugs but it is a big problem in Hawaii. People think Hawaii is all beaches and Bikinis but drugs, gangs, and violence were a big problem growing up in Hawaii.

Was just browsing the classifieds to see how other sales were going (and to see if my sale was a good deal). Well, it seems like I got a pretty average price, maybe on the high end, so I definitely feel good about that. But, that's not what this post is about:

Hard to tell if this guy is insane or actually has a good deal. Depends a lot on the damage. That area code is fairly large but he could be near northern Houston areas or the Waco area.

 

Is it a replica kit? Painted or unpainted? I know a couple of good shops but do you want cheap or good?


That guy had a whole thread about the build of that 8, didn't know he was from Texas but he deleted his whole build thread and his thread about it falling from a post lift. He got a check from the insurance company of the shop that dropped it and I guess decided to just sell it. There is video of him doing dounuts in the grass with it, with no radiator or air filter on it.

 

Not a bad deal, Random Tech makes great stuff, I used to have one of their cats on my CRX.

So how would this be better or worse then a AP or RB mid-pipe? I'm assuming it would throw a CeL like the others, yes?

Random Tech does make good stuff. My friend has one on his Integra.

 

If it is a cat, it shouldn't throw a CEL. Midpipe has no cat so it WILL throw a CEL. I'm sure you both realize a rotary has slightly different engine characteristics than a Honda lol.

 

Its an authentic veilside D1-GT kit and it needs to be fitted and painted. Had an A$sh@le hit my oem bumper at H-E-B so trying to get this kit installed really soon.(hate to see my rx8 like this )

 

This will keep things a bit quieter and you will not throw a CEL.

Yes, I am well aware of the difference between my Renny and my B16's and B18's But either way Random Tech has been around making cats for years so I am sure they have considered the exhaust temps of the rotary in it's design. Either way this is a great deal I think for a mid pipe and cat.

Sorry buddy, I will not facilitate the destruction of an RX-8 by assisting in getting a Failside kit put on an RX-8.

I'm just bustin' the new guys ***** But I really do not like that kit. But if everyone liked the same **** this hobby would be pretty boring. I guess just because I have never really seen that kit done properly. There was another local guy that had that kit (two actually including VS8) and he gayed it all up by hacking his headlights to install LED's and doing some other ricey stuff.

But hey, I am sure there are people who don't like what I have done to my car and really i could care less so I applaud anyone who goes with what they like instead of being a trendy.

 

Sparkplug fowler will fix that CEL reeeaaaalllll quick....$10 fix

 

Spark plug fouler didn't do **** to get rid of my CEL. Cobb did though

Hey if you are feeling it then that is all that matters bro But I will have to see the full package to form an opinion. Another local guy has it on an auto with painted 16's and I just cringe thinking of it.

Welcome! I don't know of any shop that can help, but I can ask around. Body kits have never been my thing, but to each his own!

I just like to see what people do to personalize their cars, but agree with you in the fact that it takes creativity to be unique instead of choosing from narrowed options just because other people like it.
