Just show up when you can... I talked to the flyboy last night and he will prolly be here around 11. I will come straight from the C&C meet to get started on my brakes, might even do my screens finally.
We pushed our plans back just a little so it might be closer to 1 when I get there.
On my way home last night I saw a silver series 2 for sale at ancira nissan. Not sure what they're asking, but it might be a decent deal if anyone is interested.

I don't think most "want" to have MM tune it it's just that he is good and pretty much the only option people have. Besides he only charges $200.00 for the service so that would be $700.00 for a brand new AP with warranty and the tuning service.
So why pay $400.00 for a used one with no warranty and then you have to turn around and buy the tuning service. Or does yours come with MM's service?

Well, he already said in the other thread that with the new price he would be out of the Cobb business anyway so I doubt even buying the tuning service for that price will be an option. I have tuned previously so I will be seriously researching and learning this stuff in the months to come.

oh well wouldnt have bought from him anyways... like 9k stated... i dont feel like paying 700 up front only to wait 6months for the product and then when it doesnt work endless unanswered emails only to back with your out of the free tune time frame.
So wait... if he backs out of the Cobb business all together ... then I guess it is all about money, contradicting his previous claims that he is not in it for the money and that the 695 is based on Cobb and if it wasnt for Cobb setting the price then he would sell them at his cost....

and with the price drop, his vendor price should have dropped too, meaning his % would stay the same granted his physical take would drop
he said his price will probably drop later
I think it's still within reason though. He wasn't charging anything extra for the service he provided. I don't think anyone was selling it cheaper than that and he was providing the tunes for the same price. He almost definitely made a profit before. I'm guessing that price drop is reducing his profit margin as well. So maybe it's now becoming too much for too little. If he was after money, he probably could have charged an extra $50 and still sold almost as many. The price drop would almost guarantee an increase in sales which would mean even more tunes to work on.
Considering he coud have easily made more money, I don't think he was really focused on the money. Whatever profits he did make definitely could not account for the amount of time spent working on tunes.
