New Orleans and Baton Rouge 2
I might go, depends on what happens that day. One of my buddies works at a dealership and I been going over there a lot. Well the general manager loves my car and they have a 04 over there for sale. He told me if it's still there Saturday night we can pull my car in for a "multi point inspection" and swap some parts including brand new tail lights
since the car will head to auction Monday.

Sooooo Sunday when I started my car notice a CEL popped up. I immediately drove to AutoZone to get the code: p0420. Before I go further let me mention I have a turbo xs high flow cat. So today I go to the shop that installed the cat to fix it. They said it was a blown gasket but I didn't really see them check the cat though. Then they were having trouble finding the right gasket, so I'm not sure that they put the right one on. But I'm wondering if I should get it checked by someone else? I tried searching but didn't really find any helpful info, but has anyone heard about turbo xs cat failures?
I'm more wondering how a gasket leak could cause a p0420...
p0420, is insufficient cat threshold. This means the cat is not cleaning the air as much as the ECU would like. 99% of the time this means the cat has failed, either by clogging, end of life cycle, or blew itself out.
A "High flow cat" will burn out quicker than a regular cat. Also some will still throw a p0420, because they can not clean the exhaust enough to make the ECU happy. Is the Cat new? How old is it?

It is with great sadness that I inform all of you that my 8 is dead. I dropped my cell phone and it fell on the passenger side floor. Instead of pulling over to get it, I unbuckled my seat belt and tried to grab it. I swerved, over-corrected, lost control and the front passenger side clipped a tree, destroying the front passenger side of the car. (And here I thought cars always hit trees and telephone poles head on in the middle!) I am alright, somehow did not get a ticket, but did get 4 staples in my head. So bummed.
Yes, it is totaled. Where it hit, and the way it hit (oh, I hit a curb before hitting the tree, so that caused damage in addition to the tree damage), there was just too much damage.
Oh...and just to clarify...I was not talking, texting, whatever. Just dropped the stupid phone.

Man, I have to see if I can grab the puddle lights out of the car. Progressive owns the car now. I asked them to grab my CDs out, but I'll have to see if they let me pull the doors apart to get the puddle lights. If all else fails, PM Shazbot.
Also, just bought a Crew Cab Tacoma. Hopefully no one complains on road trips anymore.
Nah. I'm done for now. I needed to use the wife's CX7 a lot since I was coaching football for my son, and I just kind of needed something bigger.
Let's see what Mazda comes out with next for a rotary. And let's see if their customer service improves. Still pissed that they didn't warranty the A-arm earlier this year, and at how horribly they spoke to me. I may not get another Mazda again.

That stinks I'm gonna convert to the new rotary if there's a big difference. Just gonna have to wait a few years to see how they do. I can do $50, it may be a moment, I have the money but don't have the time ATM to pick them up.
Pads are yours for $50. I also need to find the oil filters for the 04. I have a few of them I'll let go for $2.50 each. I have one oil filter for the '11.
Also, I am now driving a Tacoma TRD Sport Tank. I'm digging the truck and trying to figure out mods I want to do.
And I dig the Scion FRS. It doesn't have suicide doors, but it's a good looking car.
