I still get the updates. I just have not needed any of the parts posted recently. I need new tires I also don't drive my 8 right now as I don't have an inspection sticker due to a CEL. I think a fuel line connector is bad. It is a small fuel vacuum leak, and I have replaced the gas cap already. If anyone is in Baton Rouge, I would love to have some help with it.

 

There's a drift and I think auto x event happening at nola motorsport on Feb 16th. I'm headed there from baton rouge with a friend or two, anyone else? It would be cool to get a couple of 8s together for the trip and I'm always looking to meet new car nuts.

How much? Why are you selling it? Which pulleys are included?

 

I would like to do some event type stuff soon, but I really want to get the CEL taken care of and the inspection completed before I am driving it a bunch.

 

The only reason I'm sell them Is I'm about to start my ls1 swap in my 240 track car. And when I bought the kit I didn't know that the water pump pulley does not fit on series 2 8s. The water pump pulley and the alternator pulley is what comes in the kits. The water pump pulley has never been installed and the alternator pulley looks new. Brand new they are 250 brand new. Make an offer. I can bring it the drift event if someone is there that wants to buy it

Na, we tried... but not many people actually interested enough to meet.

 

Well I guess it's up to me to try and bring something together and get our imports back together. Me and my brother have been talking about it for about a month now. Not gonna restrict it to just our 8's though. But it will be just an import thing. Have a lot of good ideas on stuff to do to keep it like a family and also give back to the communities we live in. If you or anyone you know is interested we might be able to get this ball rolling a little faster.

Where are you located? They should still be doing car meets at the lakefront every couple of Sunday's, I just haven't had time to get out there with work.

 

Right across the state line about 45 min from the N.O. Yeah and don't get me wrong a rotary thing would be nice. Just not many of us around here.

I'm on the opposite side of NOLA. Any good places up there to meet? The problem with meeting in the city is it's so damn crowded. Finding a good area with a good parking lot is not easy.

 

Yeah I'm in Picayune, MS. It's about 15 min outside Slidell. Only 4 miles over the state line. As far as parking lots go, we have plenty of them with plenty of space

Well ladies and gentleman, she finally bit the dust last night! But it's gonna be fun pulling, cleaning, and rebuilding her. Gonna pull and disassemble, and maybe clean today. I have to say, after 9 years of caring abuse and 223,000 miles, she was a champ.

I saw a nice looking customized 8 in Iberville Terrace today, Saturday 4/12/204. I wonder if the owner is a member. Looked liked custom paint, kind of a maroon/red. If anyone knows the owner, I am interested in where the car is serviced and who did the body.

I have a 2004 with a CEL for evap (yes I replaced the gas cap, and no it did not work. so that is not it) and Hollingsworth Mazda has been sitting on it for over a month. They are literally afraid to work on the rotary. So, I need someone who knows rotary engines in the Baton Rouge area (Although I will be moving to Shreveport soon, so please make recommendations if you know anyone there)

I also need to have the undercarriage guard and bumper replaced. I would prefer to work with someone who will allow me to purchase the parts and pay them for labor. If anyone can recommend a professional in the area for these things I would greatly appreciate it.

 

You should be able to replace the front bumper and under Carriage on your own. It's really easy. Just a good bit of bolts.
