No it's just the replacement red led tail light bulbs. And the white led replace the yellow bulbs in your headlight.

It's now 2 weeks and this situation isn't resolved. Supposedly, Monica, the Mazda rep for our region, looked at the car and agrees that it is covered by warranty. The explanation I got from Kenny: Those parts just don't break. My response: so since you can't figure out what happened, you're not going to warranty the parts? Pretty much what the case is here.

Oh...and if you look at the pics on the previous page, I finally figured out what hit the tie rod. The rim when the tow truck was trying to load the car.

But it gets even better. Paretti cannot find the rim.

Anyone still down for tomorrow? I'm definitely going, Hesselrode says he's coming too. We should meet up somewhere and roll in together.

Dude, I am honestly thinking about getting rid of the 8 and just getting something else unless I can find a dealership that actually does their job. It will pretty much break my heart because I love the car, but if these asshats can't even honor a warranty, what's the sense? Car has about 17,000 miles on it. I'm so pissed off.

Preferably at Kenny, that hack of a service manager. He has bad knees and won't be able to get out of the way.

Wow. Just wow. Customer Service said tech reviewed it and the cause of the control arm breaking "was related to some sort of impact damage." Then the rep wouldn't let me talk to his supervisor. I'm am utterly amazed. So I called back and asked for a supervisor, supervisor was busy, and will call me back. Just amazed.

Unreal, with service like this I'm baffled how they are still in business... If Mazda of North America told you that no dealer can help you now. Gonna have to eat the cost.
If you need a hand installing it let me know, I'm free most days pass 3, off Sunday.

I still have a few people to chat with. I have been trying to meet with Craig Paretti to let him know what is going on.

As far as Mazda NA saying it's not warranty, I don't know what Paretti sent them, so I submitted my pics to them and still need to talk with the supervisor. We'll see. I mean, Paretti told me that I ran over something in the road, it kicked up and damaged my tie rod and lower control arm, but caused no other damage to the bottom of the car. Kind of like the JFK magic bullet theory.

Worst case scenario, I'll make a claim on insurance and send it over to a body shop. Then next warranty claim bring it to Brandt. If they fail, I'm selling the car and never buying a Mazda again.

I have no opinion on Brandt, never been there. Hesselrode likes that dealer. The drive out to Houma for Barker is worth every drop of gas in my opinion. Been going there since my first fc when I was 17. Never had a bad experience yet. Plus they have a rotary mechanic.

Sorry about Paretti, like i said before, never again, been going Brandt for about 2-3 years now. When the service manager left me on hold for 45 minutes only to later tell me that I have other service options in the area if I wasnt happy with them...i knew it was time for a change. I also make the drive to Houma to get things taken care of by a good friend if I feel Brandt is being pricey which is always. I took my wifes 04 Corolla to Toyota for a recall, like night and day.

Tell them your going to go to an arbitration board if they don't fix your car. The arbitration board is dealership owners n if you bring your case to them they'll make em fix your car

I still have a few people to speak with. I spoke with Craig Paretti this morning and he is defending his service department. He basically was a parrot for Kenny saying that I had to have hit something in order for the lower control arm to break, that there had to be something else wrong with car. I told him that the rear shocks had failed, but he said that couldn't cause the lower control arm to break.

How do I appeal to the arbitration board?
