Yeah ... I dont know any shops in that area ... I am trying to do as much work as possible myself now because I've had bad experiences almost everywhere

oki guys... here's the scoop... Rotary Performance says they won't touch it because they counsel me to get a crate engine from Mazda.

Brian will do the rebuild, but indicates he doesn't want to be included in the engine removal/ reinstallation... so... I've offered my son to do the removal/ installation under his supervision in his shop since he has never removed an 8 before... the learning curve needs a guru's eye to supervise so my son can do it safely.

Brian has not returned a call or email or answered on this forum regarding this possibility.

I'm still looking at this 8 waiting for a "go" so I can get it running.

There is a guy in the drag race community that builds rotaries up in Shreveport. Puerto Rician guy named Jose, I think. I will try and get his name from a friend. I saw one of his motors have some great passes.

He is at least close to you.
