HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! I got the adjuster's claim and check today in the mail and it does NOT match up! He way underestimated the wheels (if they are to be replaced) and the tires, speaking of which he only wrote down one!!! Oh my goodness, I'm about to puke.

breathe in... breathe out... in... out...

Ok. I am going to see Martin tomorrow, sit down with him and figure out what exactly needs to get done and get this f*in supplement **** turned in to the insurance so I can get more money. This is ridiculous and I'm about to pull my hair out and I'm going to have a nervous breakdown. Anyone have a xanax?

Me too!!!! I don't know why I haven't called him. I guess I feel like I'm in one of those dreams where any moment now I'll open my eyes and it'll all be better. <sigh>

I'm going by Martin's tomorrow after work and getting it straightened out. I want to submit that supplement thing ASAP so parts can be ordered.

Martin is going to help you out on this Dazy. Don't worry about all the footwork. Martin will let you know when/if you need to jump the adjusters ***. He knows how to work this and make sure the adjuster stays straight. Who is your Allstate agent? Believe it or not a long time friend of mine owns his own Allstate agency in Ft. Worth. His name is Frank Sargent. We have been friends over 20 years. I really doubt I will need to make a call for his help but it is there if worse did come to worse. Know what I mean?

There is no reason for you to be stressed out on this. Your car is going to be nicer with a "phat-*** tight" aftermarket nose (if that is what you want) and it will be the envy of us all.
Take my word babe you know I would not steer you wrong. You sleep easy on that okay?

Thanks Scalliwag. I really appreciate the kind and soothing words. I'm doing my best to hang in here. I guess I'm just not too good at handling the unfamiliar situations and there's no one to blame but myself. That's the worst.

Ok. I'm done feeling sad for myself, no more complaining. But I'll keep ya'll up to date on what's going on.

Talked to Martin today, saw my baby, and everything will be fine. :D He's going to take a look and see if/what the adjust missed regarding the suspension and make the additional claim, Gotham is going to order the MS front and exhaust (type still TBD) and it will all be good.

I also saw a very nice looking blue 8 up there getting some work done. If the owner is as hot as the car, I gotta get me some of that!!! :D

I know everything will go great for you Tiff, try not to go over there much though because it will seem like it's taking forever, I had my MX6 in the shop for three months and went to visit too much and it seemed like a year.

I was just wondering if you will be able to get your car back before the run to Austin. If not, then when everyone meets at the Rig, you might be able to buddy up with Shari (since she would have just driven 5 hours) and I'm sure she would enjoy the company for the rest of the trip to Austin. - Just a thought.

True... I'm hoping it'll be done by then but I'm not holding my breath just in case. I know going often will make it seem like it's taking forever so I don't plan on going much, but I do want the guys to know that I care about what's going on and want a say in it, and I want to keep on good terms with all of them. I'm going again on Fri (since I'm off) and we're going to talk about whatever he finds for the rest of my suspension, his talks with the insurance idiots and prices on the MS kit.

Question: do you think the MS front would look weird with the appearance pkg? I have money set aside for the exhaust, which is no longer needed, so I may see if I can get the side skirts to match. Opinions??

If you don't want to make a mechanic mad, just keep showing up in low cut shirts, then they will be looking forward to your next visit.

I'm not trying to make him mad by any means. I've offered and will continue to offer to do anything he needs me to (research, ordering parts, etc) if it will help make the repair go quicker.

I forgot to mention that I'm taking my lightbulbs up there Fri too because he said yes when I asked if he would install them for me.

And I don't think it matter whether or not my shirt is low-cut, I'm so much smaller than everyone you can see down my shirt regardless.

I didn't say we don't like the attention--everyone likes that. I don't like being helpless in a situation and relying on others, something I've had to fo a lot lately.

i bet that was a nice 8!!!

thats gonna suck if you get an MS kit...thats what i was gonna get through martin but my damage on my car was in the wrong area...

got my 8 back though about an hour ago...all finished up! just gonna go up there to work on my lights that are flickering alittle...its always one thing after another it seems!

but next will be time to get my radar detector and some springs and all should be getting better!

congrats on all the good work you will be getting on the car Dazy!
