If anyone/everyone is in; I will rent the coil compressor from Autozone on Saturday for Sunday's use.
Let me know if anyone is in. I am located on the NW side of town off the beltway and Tanner (north of I-10) but south of 290.
Later!

I have a neighbor that de-badges all his cars. He did his porsche a while back perfectly and I asked him the trick. Dental floss he said!
Take a hair dryer (or let your car sit outside on a hot Tx day for a few hours) to heat up the emblem. Then rake dental floss between the logo and the vehicle. It cuts right through the adhesive back without scratching the paint.
Then use goo-b-gone to get off the rest of the stick stuff.
Wash, buff, wax!

Well it is finally done! I have reserved GSS for a track day on August 22nd.
The cost is going to be 3350 to include track, insurance, & ambulance.
Gonna limit it to about 20 cars as we don't want to much traffic.
Cost will be 250.00 per person.
If we get more participants then I will refund cash to everyone.
If we get less than expected/ bring cash or your checkbook.
No bitchin' about the price if you have to pony up more and I won't complain if I have to refund some back!
http://www.grandsportspeedway.com/
Rules are:
1. No alcohol
2. Must have SA2000 or newer helmet (on your head!) FYI: motorcycle helmets won't work!
3. Nomex if you are in a race car.
4. Long pants (no nylon workout pants) such as cotton or jeans for people driving street legal cars.
5. No passengers are allowed unless you are a licensed instructor. (insurance stipulation)
FYI: If you want to show someone the fastest line; have them do a "lead and follow" at 60% full speed to be safe.
We have the track from 9am-5pm
Gate opens at 8am.
Mandatory Drivers meeting at 8:45 am
Gate closes at 6pm.
Some of the buildings were lost in the hurricane but they do have port-a-potties.
I suggest bringing some tailgating popup tents for shade and coolers with tons of water, etc.
For all you diehard Rotary fans; there will be rods and pistons on the track!
A few Porsche's, a Mini Cooper S, Shelby GT500, etc have already signed up!
Fill this out if you want to come have some fun!

If only 10 people register; then the price goes up to $335.00/person.
If 20 register; it becomes 167.50/person.
or some fractional amount as above.
Hope that make sense.
If I am the only one to register (shouldn't happen as there are 6 registered already), then I get a track day for $3350.00 with lots of room to drive and very little traffic! hahaha
