yeah, we'll be doing it at the shop. car's up there now being rewired stereo wise for an upcoming show in Tyler to debut for the sponsors etc. I went with an oem radiator, was going to do the BHR but it was all adding up to too much $$ and I'm still jobless so I have to be careful, not to sure how much of a pain it is yet, we'll see soon.

surprised that the dealer didnt just cover it, to cover there *** at least. Thinking of audio i need to get a custom box for my polk sr 12 i have to request to have a larger internal space though then his default comes with. Fun feeling the trunk flex (sub is aimed up because of space restraint of the first box i made. (its so messy looking to right now T_T)

Holy crap! I totally under estimated this project! Im still in process of taking parts off the car!! Made some good progress today. The only things that I still need to take off is the right motor mount and the exhaust manifold. I have to work the rest of the week so I didnt want to undo the mount and take a chance that my jack has a leak and drop the engine over the time I was at work. The car is hard to take apart!! The intake box and exhaust were a bitch. Hoping when I start back up on it on Sunday I can at least get the turbo hung. Its on my kitchen table, wife is sick of looking at it!! Lol!! I just dont want it in the garage with the humidity and no oil going to the bearings. Makes a great center piece by the way!

need to wait for my paper work from the dps so i can get this stupid ticket off my record.

Heck yeah, after that lightening display, I don't blame them much although, it was more flash than dash. The whole thing blew over in 10-15 minutes, but I wouldn't want to risk getting caught in a hail storm. You just never know.

lol hope 05mazdarx8 is reading this he is planing on being in austin this weekend and trying to get it all together in a day or two, then to protech to do a tune so he doesnt ahve to wait for mm

 

Ive never done anything this major to an engine I am not comfortable saying I know a lot about. I had a Saturn Redline before the 8 and rebuilt that engine for performance but since that engine came with forced induction on it, all I was doing was putting better parts inside the motor, not adding a whole new part to the engine. It gets stressful at times and I keep saying ***** this, Im putting the car back to stock and Ill sell everything! But Im still trying. Im a perfectionist so while I have the car apart, Ive taken things off and repainted them so they are back to looking like new. The bottom of the car is back to being able to eat off it! And ya, Im definitely getting to the know the car very well! Im finding out what does what and all that kinda junk. Plus Im finding out what peices of metal are the sharpest in the engine! Lol!!

Ya, if he can pull this off in 1 day, more power to him!! He may have more experience on this car than I do so he may have better luck getting the stock parts off. But Im off to pull the motor mount off and hopefully at least get the turbo hung today. Ill report back later!
