god its hot, garage seems to be isulated, i open the door and its like a sauna, i started the car from over night and the water temp was starting at 110f heh

 

Same here.. I don't usually close the garage door until after it gets dark and it's still warm in there by morning..

 

We need to get a little Austin meet 'n munch going.

Im game but doubt the car will be running by that time. Had to rip it all off to replace oil line. I love turbo installations!

Car started today leak free! Even took it for a quick ride around the apartment complex all open header! It was pretty loud but got a couple thumbs up, but I think they were interested in the intercooler there in its glory, with no front bumper on!! Still waiting for my exhaust to come in and gotta finish putting the car together then head to PTP to get tuned. Almost there!!!

 

Damn that is awesome. Bet that feels good just putting around the neighborhood.

You have no idea man!!! Well, actually Im sure you do judging by some of your other posts, sounds like you like projects too!! Lol! But ya, it was great to get it out of the garage for a couple minutes. I was getting so down on the car because I have had everything on and off the car 3 times so far. Ya, Im getting pretty good at it, but Im sick of doing it!! Maybe this weekend Ill take a short drive with the camera so you can hear what it drives like. Im very impressed with the spool sound of the turbo, even for only taking the engine to 3k rpm. It sounds like its going to be loud in higher rpm, which is what I wanted. Yax, if you ever want to stop over and check out that would be great. I live in Oak Hill by the Y. Ill be out there saturday if you wanna swing by. (gotta work the rest of the week) Just let me know! And dont mind the very thick layer of dust on the car!! lol.

I'm trying to get out to Carls Jr. tonight. My buddy's 700whp turbo 402 cubic inch GTO will be there.

I think we're showing up around 7:30pm.

 

Shoot, Ill walk him in my 8 likes hes a Honda Civic!! Lol!! Im so just kidding!! Im hoping to make it out to a car show next Saturday. The car wont be tuned but it runs good enough to drive some where. Surges like a bitch but you get used to it! Lol!! Just have some final touches for this weekend and then I should be good to go for next week. Anyone interested in meeting at the Carls Jr next week???

surging ? going into boost ?

T_T still waiting for my turn for boost, just got my coils on and compression tested it, results were overall on the lower side but fine, found my intake screen was side ways...

cobb is fun to play with, wish it could display multiple monitors at once so i could take out my scan gauge.

 

Ya, its surging really bad on deceleration, like when you let go of the gas and let the car just slow down, then it surges again when when I get back on the gas. Im not talking about the turbo surging, Im talking the actual car starts to violently jerk around. It gets exciting to drive!! But Im hoping with a full exhaust and a full intake it will run a little better. Hoping to finish the intake tomorrow and take it for a little spin.

 

bov opening i guess? may check the screen is in the intake to smooth flow for the maf

o well guess ill look into getting a recirc set up for mine so it doesnt surge as much.

That was fun talking to you guys. The guy that owns that GTO is going to help me with the tune so I can spray my car again. Then go for a spin.

 

I dont think its anything mechanical. Its just a raw tune that is INCREDIBLY rich!! I only got the BOV to open once and that was when I pulled the car up on ramps. Sounds awesome!!!

Not tuned yet. Still have some parts that I need to put on. Got the exhaust on, sounds really good. Sounds exactly like it does stock. Wish it was a little louder though. Im prolly gonna start tuning next week cause I should have the car fully complete this Saturday. I was hoping to make the car show but Im not sure. Depends on how fast I can cut the plastic under carriage, put the bumper, and route the gauges. Its possible, depends on how things go!! Ill hit ya up when shes all ready and Ill take ya for a spin. Injectors not put in yet.
