FYI...The usual Thursday night DFW Mazdas meet has been changed to Wednesday (TODAY) for this week only.

Do you know if the Thursday Mazda meet is still happening. I went up last week and couldn't find anyone.

 

Sorry for being MIA and not answering your question...Yes...The Thursday meet is still around...It was moved around a couple of times, but now it's back at Jakes in Addison.

Just a reminder...The "Ballin' on a Budget" meet is tonight...Check the first page for details...This meet is usually pretty fun, so don't miss out...If you're new, we would love to have you out...Don't hesitate to bring friends if you don't want to go alone.

The RX-8 group pretty much died off, but I've found a few new members who are interested in starting a meet up again.

Other than that, all of the meets listed on the first page are still active...My apologies for not updating them...I got tired of updating and no RX-8s showing up...lol

 

Well I've lived in the area for about a year but just bought an 8 recently! Let's get together and cruise sometime!!

 

When my 8 is finally off jack stands will be at a meet again.

It's unfortunate that none of those meets are second-shift compatible.

 

Yeah...During the week, pretty much all of these cater to 1st shift...There are weekend meets though.

 

I saw one monthly meet on the first page that takes place on Saturdays... at an ungodly hour in the morning. I'm going to need more than coffee to keep me awake that early.

Anyway, I'm not expecting anyone to cater to second-shifters since we're a bit of a minority but if there ever is a meet on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon or evening, I would certainly be interested.

 

The RX-7 group has their monthly meet the first Saturday of each month...It's in the evening, so you would be able to make that!...I haven't placed details for the meet on the thread, but I'll add it soon.

 

Sounds good as long as they're welcoming of their cars' successors. I was fascinated by the RX-7 before the 8 even came out. I'd love to see a variety of rotaries.
