Very bad guy- mazda 004

damn. well im glad someone is at least taking action in deleting his threads. you couldnt find his original because a mod already deleted it.
thanks for all the advice guys. like it has already been hinted at, I took a chance, got screwed, and definitely learned a lesson. I am very much admitting to the fact that i was in the moment, and acted like a dumba**. i just bought an '11 mazda 6 and wanted some wheels. thats all. you can get as much in depth as you would like, but it just comes out to me making an honest mistake. put me on blast if you would like, but i already know the errors of my ways. but again, thanks anyways for the advice.

Mods are on it. Thanks Al! All the scumbag threads have been deleted. Hopefully they are working on figuring out the scumbag's IP and blocking him.
See, I refuse to be screwed. I get pissed when other people get screwed.
I'll go out of my way to stop scumbags like mazdaeight2004/mazda004/theotherguy67/blackonblackeight.

Yeah, the admin can easily add his IP to a filter.
@wakelbolt, yes I got ripped off months ago when he appeared with pictures and on a different account that wasn't just created moments before posting the topic. But it's all good since I got my money back

Good to hear the admins are on it.
Don't know why you guys think banning IPs is any good.
Most ISP have dynamic IP addressing and often you'll get a new IP everyday maybe even more frequently
They do this to stop people running public severs fromt her home computer amongst other things.
And its just not particle to ban a entire IP block.
(Not to mention going thru a proxy or a Tor node)
So my point is, just so you guys don't get all pissy at me again or more....
That a ban on this person IP is really not effective so the fake post may continue.

How much more time and effort is he going to put in to the hunt.
Is it worth it?
That's my point.
Nothing "really" has been solved here ....
The warning went out to the community, which is good (I concur) but ... lol ... for anyone that would spend the time to check
(and omg we know people don't search)
Now the dude is banned ... he ip address will likely get renewed automatically from his ISP without him even knowing it (most ISP's do this).
Then he is back under another Alias.
Great what's been solved?

I took the time to find all of the posts, all of the user names, and send them to a moderator. (Google reader stores old threads indefinitely if you use RSS.)
Wrong. That is not why they use dynamic IPs. And in no way does it stop anybody from running a public server. Most dynamically-assigned IP's rarely change. (I'm in IT and run several servers out of my house, btw...)
Neither I nor the administrators are dumb. We know he might be on a dynamic IP, which is why they will check the IPs of his posts and registrations. If they are all the same, block it.
The scumbag is stupid and lazy, which is why he's a thief, and not a very good one.
He is probably too lazy to use a proxy, and probably too stupid to understand what Tor is.
It's one tool in the toolbox that might make it a little harder for the scumbag to screw other people.
At least we are doing something, what did you do other than suggest we bend over and take it?
It's a free country, you are welcome to bend over and get screwed by anybody at anytime.
Some of us do not like to be screwed and will not bend over on-command.

My IP hasn't changed in over a year. So, at least for me, it would be a deterrent. I don't want to run down to Starbucks a couple of times a day to do updates and answer PM's for a sale. Have you ever tried to use Tor? I have and found it cumbersome and so slow I gave up.

How do you know that anyone here has an RX8, unless you actually meet them?

I run a SSH Server from my home IP as an encrypted forwarding tunnel when I'm at work I can proxy my web connections. Gotta luv Putty
I know for a fact that My IP changes at least weekly ... sometimes daily.
When I was with Sympatico it would change hourly.
At any rate it's way more frequently than "rarely".
I've been using DynDns.org to mitigate this problem.
Things are obviously different with the ISPs in the USA.
LOL
If you are smart enough not to drop your pants in the first place, you don't have to worry about getting screwed.
Maybe you should consider not picking up the soap, instead of figuring out what you are going to do now that you have bent over and grabbed your ankles.
I still come back to the fact that no of this has helped this guy get his money back or his stuff.
And again I agree .... it's worth notifying the community ... I was short sighted in not identifying that as a good step.
What should this guy do as a next step?
Al
I've had various success at using Tor ... you can get some fast exit nodes at times.
I've had lots of success using it in Hong Kong and Japan ....

I would still like to know more about this transaction that occurred.
How did the OP pay for this .... paypal would insure him for at least 200.
How long has he been waiting ..... as Team said earlier the picture is the same day as the post.
I'm mean what if all this has gone on and the dude has only waited a few days?
Did I miss these details somewhere?
The whole thing seems ...... well "like a trap!"
