You simply cannot please everyone in this business. I am not talking about stick's deal here, as I do agree that it is a bad situation. There are 2 sides to the story however and I chose not to take any sides at this point.

as far as the midpipe....the reason for the spacers is because of the resonators. I don't see a way around that. The point of the midpipe was to have something that wasn't loud, yet had same benefits of catless. If you are happy with your raspy midpipe, thats fine. I just don't like all that attention on me as I'm driving through town. So in my book, the spacers are fine, it works, midpipe sounds great, awesome quality, installation is a breeze, and otherwise perfect fit. Also, THEY ARE NOT WASHERS! They are actual HIGH quality spacers MADE FOR THIS SITUATION.
For reference, this is what they look like:
http://www.mazsport.net/store/images..._spacers_2.jpg

You should get the facts straight before you flip out on something that is not true.

I have nothing against you or anyone for that matter, however, the main point I was trying to make was they did improve. Now it was up to you to get the situation rectified if you had such a bad experience. Sorry you were the "guinea pig." That's just the way some things go.
i am calm homeslice, how do you know my tone over the internet?

as for rectifying, i guess i could've called scott and explained my poorly made CAI. if he offered to replace it, then i'd have to ship it back to him, WAIT for him to make improvements (who knows how long that would've taken), then WAIT for him to ship it back out to me. i don't think so. time is valueable to me just as much as money. as for being a dick? how so? i simply informed the people of this forum of what to look out for. it was a product review. and i know you cannot please everyone, if it were true, i believe it would be called utopia. i understand your point of the CAI being improved, but it was also at my expense. the only reason why you have a better CAI is because of me. please send gratuity of $350 to my paypal, much appreciated

ok, so he also updated the washers to spacer blocks...but that is also an improvement he made AFTER he sold a finalized product to several people at full retail price. check earlier threads, people still had to go through trouble to make it fit themselves. why couldn't he use smaller diameter resonators in the beginning?? do you see my point? he didn't spend enough time to make his products that much better. instead, he rushed and resulted in a poorly made product.

so once again, he improved AFTER he already sold half *** parts for retail value. should've done some more testing/fitting. i have all my facts straight chief, so don't be too pressed about correcting me.

Everything was already disassembled in the car...if you look close at the pics, you will see vise grips and tape holding everything together.

The way you worded your first paragraph...my bad i guess.

understood, but like you said before about the midpipe, why settle for low quality?

as for being a dick? how so?
I didn't mean that as YOU were being a dick about it, sorry for the confusion. Meant that in general that is not a way to get something rectified--by being a dick

don't know why he chose that resonator size, ask scott

lol @ chief.....
not looking to prove anyone wrong...wasn't my intention...just showing my experience as I know you were as well....but that's fine if you feel you need to prove me wrong....I would rather be told I don't have the facts and have someone prove them to me rather than be ignorant.

Bit of history there .....
I still believe Stick used a secondary account. I was in his face about it because I believed that it was not the proper thing to do.

In retrospect, I should have taken in the ENTIRE situation before jumping on stick's case. The issue was that Stick did not have custody of his car. He was not able to speak his mind with his primary account. Thus the secondary vented where he could not.

I no longer fault him for it, in fact I owe stick an apology for giving him grief over it.

I now know where he's coming from. It's a shame we post from the hip sometimes.

PS: The thread wasn't deleted. It was locked.

Caught wind of this on another forum...All I can say is If you all don't get together or individually take on this guy, he will sit back and laugh at you all, and do it again to the next sucker that comes along.

Knowledge is power, but sticks and stones in a few weeks or even days, and life goes back to normal for him...

All it takes for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing....

If there is anyone that lives in FL you ought to take the time to consult with someone anyway...Find out what kind of retainer you'll need..

Paypal is a wonderful thing...

Wow, truely an amazing situation. Stick, I am really sorry to see this happen to your RX8. Owning an RX8 with a 20b is a dream all us rotary nuts have. I agree that $40k should have bought you an RX8 that was a knockout!

It's a shame we'll probably never know WHY this all happened the way it did. It's clear Scott has lawyered up (wouldn't you?) and has been told to not say anything because admitting guilt would make him responsible. Still, I would bet that the damage to Mazsport would be much less if Scott came correct with his "other side" of the story.

As harsh as this situation is, Mazsport has a responsibility to deliver on what was promised and they have a responsibility to this community.

I can honestly say that the shops which get my money are the ones willing to admit publically when they make mistakes, when their products might be causing problems, and when there might be delays in product development/delivery. I believe in companies that put their own resources behind development and don't take advantage of customers to finiance other projects.

I hope, for Mazsport's sake and Sticks', that Scott swallows his pride...ditches his legal team and takes care of this issue.

I heard about this thread thru, www.RotaryCarClub.com

Stick, I'm sorry to hear about your situation.

http://www.rx7club.com/attachment.ph...3&d=1196020803

And all I can say about the LIM is... WOW!! I'm also doing 20B project and I would NEVER use something like that!! Why did he decide to make something like that when stock 20B LIM is better that that thing?? And the exhaust manifold??

https://www.rx8club.com/attachment.p...5&d=1223776811

All I can say is, I would be pissed!!! Especially knowing the fact he was working on other people's stuff and developing other parts when your car should of been #1 priority! The sad part to all this is that people will STILL send business to him and most people wouldn't know about your situation..

You guys have expressed your anger but when it starts resorting to cheap shots elsewhere on the forum (I already deleted a thread in the lounge linking to this thread), I'm drawing the line. You guys are pissed. Get over it or take legal action about it. The rant is over. Thread closed.
