Sick burn. It took god damn long enough but it looks good, Scott can fab I'll give him that. It's a nicely fabricated piece, he just needs to work on less BS giving to his customers.

Like I said, it's a nice piece. I personally wouldn't be interested in it but the craftsmanship is much better than other crap I see being sent to customers. Such as the BS Turblown sends out. I hope I am proved wrong and Scott does right by his customers from now on.
My build has been a learning experience that is for sure. But the end result is pretty very satisfying to me

Well I finally installed the catch can, I had a few issues with it. First each chamber had huge amounts of metal shavings + sand, second the hole for the windshield washer squirter was too big and leaked, 3rd he included the spacer for mounting but did not include the bolt. What I thought would be a 5 min "bolt on" part became a few days. For what I paid, I expected alot more, it looks great but lacks functionality.
Also, there was an extra elbow bolted on the 2 stroke reservoir, when I inquired about that he said, its there just incase you want to use it for a catch can... When I specifically said 2 - stroke reservoir and windshield washer fluid only. I upgraded my PCV system, I don't need a catch can. As for the leaking, I dab on some weather sealant... hopefully it won't leak. pictures up soon..

Good info on the washer fluid section I will be adding some extra rtv.

My install didn't got smoothly either. My issue was the sump wouldn't fit because it would hit the trap door. Scott ended up giving me a new oil pan and welded the flaps further away from the sump. That and I didn't care for the hex bolts that came with the pan, one ended up breaking on me as I was installing them. I've got to take the pan off sometime and reseal it because oil got on the RTV sealent as I was putting the pan on so I didn't get a good seal on one corner and it leaks.

That pan was a pain in the ******* ***. Test fitting a product might be a good idea before you ships because the pick up tube clearance wasn't even close. Hoss is being nice when he says trimming.

I washed the cambers multiple times to get all the crap out. I put sealant on the squirter grommet (doesn't seem to be leaking now). I put a vacuum cap for the unneeded elbow on the 2 stroke reservoir. The bolt I used was a 6M x 1.0 thread pitch bolt 50mm long from home depot. Looks great in the engine bay, hopefully no more issues arise.
Seems like I'm not the only one having issues with his products o.O. I was thinking about getting that oil pan but after reading the previous post, I think i'll will pass. Seems like he still needs to get stuff together... Oh and he never did send me my cobb bracket which I order the same time as the catch can...

Thanks for the info. He does read these threads so hopefully he will take measures and do some test fits or pre checks before he ships stuff out. It's sorry to hear about hoss issue with his oil pan, would have thought the issue would have been resolved when I had my issues and Scott had to fix it. The design is nice and my engine warms up faster now but still retains normal temps between 180-200.
I've never had communication issues with Scott and he was very easy to work with getting the fitment fixed. Hopefully we will see better quality control in the future.

I know there was an early run of the pans that had problems with the oil pickup. As far as I know the latest pans have all been OK.
I had to do a bit of grinding on mine back in the day to get it to fit as well....nothing that gave me much of a headache on the install.
Not quite sure how you broke the set screw...those things are a lot stronger than a normal bolt
Be careful when you remove the pan. The aluminum is a lot more fragile than the sheet metal pan and it can seperate the welds if you aren't careful.
It is a good idea when doing the install to drain the motor and let it sit with a bag or something keeping the dust out for a few hours....it will make cleaning it up perfect a lot easier..then you won't have the RTV issue. Same goes for re-doing the stock pan. If the oil is still dripping when you try and seal it with the RTV you will have a leak

The welds aren't the problem...it's the beating on the flange and pry tool that will cause the problem
I wasn't commenting on the quality of the welds...jut the fact that you have to be more careful with the aluminum than the sheet metal. There have been problems with the cast aluminum Greddy pan cracking for re-installs too if care isn't taken when removing it

We did this install on the engine stand thankfully. The pan also wasn't flat at the mating surface so it took some man handling to get it to sit flat while we installed the bolts.
With the exception of one small part, the entire center section had to be cut, ground down, and cleaned up to clear the pick up tube.

So the customer is left to grind/saw/bend it to get it to fit?
How is this any more than a rough prototype?
