Maybe if you actually typed something that was relevant to the subject at hand instead of taking cheap shots by taking posts out of context and boasting...

You completely ignore my friendly challenge, but you pay close attention to how long I appear to be viewing your silly thread. Enjoy your trophy car, I'll be driving mine.

Maybe next time you're owed money you won't wait until you **** the guy off and he starts ignoring you (an entire year + later) before trying to retrieve it.

No, we've gone over this before. Drag racing is stupid. It's not what the Rx-8 is good at, and it's hard on our extremely weak transmission.

My power levels far exceed yours. I make at least 60-70 lb/ft torque more than your SC car. To put that in perspective, your car doesn't even make 50 lb/ft torque more than a stock RX-8.

You can laugh at dyno charts all you want (Speaking of which, do you even know how much power *your* car makes?), but in the end my power is ALL under the curve. So it's no dyno queen. It's my daily driver, but thanks for the complement on the trophy car

Of course he does! He has the dyno from the Pettit car to look at, which should be exactly like what his car is doing since it is exactly the same. Exactly.

Besides, as long as a vendor tells you how much power you should be making, you don't need a dyno plot.

yes, a vendor dyno result that was scaled to be really small, then printed on paper, then someone took a photograph of that paper and posted the photo online.

But it's interesting how dyno results became "some jumpy curve on a piece of paper" when it's not in his favor After all, it's not like a dyno machine actually measure power produced by an engine, do they?

A boosted 8 can hold its own on a drag strip. Transmission seems fine to me, maybe it's your shifting skills that are weak.

Then you have nothing to fear at a drag strip. I know my car has more power than an rx-8 that dynoed just shy of 300. My money's better spent elsewhere, I don't need a dyno. Pettit doesn't fudge their graphs, I've already proven this, but if I have to repost it, I will.

All under the curve? Do you even know what you're talking about? Lame

It wasn't meant as a compliment. What I was saying was that all that power you've spent thousands of dollars on is going to waste because you don't know how to drive.

Wow. You're unbelievable. How about TeamRX8 who autocross' all the time? He's gone through 3 transmissions in the RX-8, but never had one die on his other cars. Are you saying our transmission is superb? Because there's an assload of people who'll disagree with you, and most of them are on stock power:

http://www.google.com/search?q=site%...ssion+problems

For the record, the transmission gears were fine. I change transmission fluid once a year and don't ever drop the clutch. It was the 3-4 shift fork and syncro that were going, and this is a common issue for many. Also there's several companies either offering transmission replacements or offering upgraded components simply because our tranny IS worthless. Even the new RX-8 has abandoned it.

All under the curve? Do you even know what you're talking about? Lame
Yeah, my power comes on through the entire rev range. Your numbers are peak only. You only get the "300" number for a short time and in the rev range where you aren't going to be able to hold it. Having a wide powerband is desirable. Let's not forget even the best Pettit dyno results haven't broken 200 torque, or that your SC has the least amount of gain of any FI kit from 3,000 till 8,000 where your car will be for 99% of the time.

I'm glad you've dropped the facade of "helpful 3rd party who somehow always misses the point and posts passive aggressive type comments". It's good you're letting your hair down and speaking your mind. I want to hear more commentary on my driving.

Well, you did say you suck at shifting. I stopped being objective the second you got personal. I should have figured you would take go that route considering the direction you took in the 20b thread (You remember that thread right? The one where stick said he was ignoring you?).

You were never objective. We only have to refer to your first post in this thread when you said, "why bring this up again a year later?"

There has not been a single other opinion in this thread besides yours that is arguing the merits of the situation or if I should try to recover my money or not.

You're the odd man out.

Well, you did say you suck at shifting.
When did I say that?

Because I thought it was funny that you only started caring about the $50 immediately after he ignored you in the 20b thread, and the tone of this thread from the beginning was that of a jilted woman. Very bitchy timing IMO after letting more than a year go by. I didn't say he was right in not paying you back, although the idea does make me smile now.

Like I've said several times, I initially agreed that he should pay you back, but since you've been so whiney, I just don't care anymore.

As for the suck at shifting comment... just do a search on your own posts for "suck at shifting."

Bastage, I've seen bitchy women complain less than you do, and you don't even have a valid reason to be complaining here.

Furthermore, if you search your OWN posts, you'll see "suck at shifting" is your words, not mine:

https://www.rx8club.com/showpost.php...3&postcount=55

I see why Jeff put you on ignore. Your posts are completely devoid of logic and are a waste of time to read. You even attribute your own words to me and can't keep your own story straight.

Read your post before it, unless you edited it. That's why it was in quotes. They're YOUR words.

Jeff put me on ignore because he hates losing arguments.

If my posts are such a waste of time to read, then why do you constantly sit there refreshing your browser to see what I'm going to say next (and keeping track of how long I take writing posts)?

It was fun to step away and play Wii last night while you were sitting here in suspense.

MYSQL -Why was this thread started ? I see four possible explanations - which one is it ?

A : you wanted to shame Stick after what happened in the 20B thread

B : You wanted to shame him for not giving you the $50 back

C : combination of A&B

D : You really needed the $50 back because you were running short of money - heh

Just curious

I'm actually getting paid - I vpn to the office, and write software in another window. Casual tabbing over to the forum to see your posts, laugh a bit, then go back to working.

None of the above. The timeline is quite simple.

1. John makes up an alter ego and then used it to bad mouth Mazsport on the forum.

2. John gets caught posting on the forum from the same computer as the alter ego.

3. John makes up lame excuses for it, which I call him on.

4. I then remember why I know him - and remind him he still owes me money.

5. John claims he paid.

6. At this point I get pissed off he has the nerve to not pay me, then pretend he did. So I show him proof he didn't pay squat.

7. Months go by and I eventually create this thread when it's evident he has no plans to return the cash.

Assuming John forgot he didn't pay, and it's quite possible that's true, when it was clear he owed me money, paying it would have ended the situation completely. Instead, he made it into a big deal and kept insisting he wanted to pay it back, but conveniently all his offerings were structured in such a way that no money would ever exchange hands (such as him telling me to email me my address to him and not providing the email address), or pretending he can't read my posts.

If Bastage owed me money, **** yeah I'd tell him to pay me too. What's my motive? Getting my money back. You owe it, you pay it. What's to get?
