I gave stickmantijuana a $50 deposit for an int-x 2 on Oct 10th, 2006, with the understanding that I'd get the int-x the following week when his car arrived in Largo. He failed to show up and so I bought my int-x elsewhere. He quit responding to PM's when I asked him about a refund. After a while I gave up on PM'ing him and choose to not pursue it any further.

In Dec 2007, I brought it up again that he still owed me the $50.

stickmantijuana claims he refunded everyone that bought stuff from him from Oct 2006, but failed to provide any evidence that he's refunded me. So I was forced to sign into paypal and take screenshots of the transaction that clearly show me sending him the $50, and a lack of a $50 refund to my account (See attached two screenshots below).


Confronted with this on 12-15-2007, stickmantijuana rambles on about misc stuff without any hint that he plans on refunding me:

He suggests that I never contacted him about a refund. I wait a while and he still doesn't issue a refund after I bought it up multiple times on the forum. 15 days later on 12-20-2007, I PM'ed stick again and told him he could just send me the $50 via paypal, and I provided him with my paypal email address.

He didn't reply.


I'm a patient guy, and it's the holidays, so I wait another 10 days before sending him another PM on 12-30-2007. I asked if he was back to ignoring me.

He didn't reply.


If you've been keeping track, I sent the down payment on Oct 10th, 2006, and here it is Jan 1st, 2008. That's a long f-ing time. Maybe I should be charging interest on the $50.


Ultimately it boils down to stickmantijuana being so petty that he would risk his reputation on the forum in order to keep $50 of my money while at the same time boasting about a 20b engine swap.

I think I've been more than fair in giving him multiple times to do the right thing before I posted this.

 

that stinks if the money was sent through your bank account you should contact your bank, sorry to hear about the concern...

 

it's been too long for the bank or paypal to really do anything. It's what happens when a good guy (mysql) is patient and ends up taking it in the pooper from a scammer.

 

Yeah, after this amount of time, I don't think it matters what form of payment was used, they aren't going to assist me.

That would be a pretty long-shot belief, since the whole thing has pretty much played out in public the way the Jason said it did.

I don't think the delays on his 20B project, which is no cheap exercise, have anything to do with payments so I'm willing to give him the benefit of doubt for now. My own experience with Stick is that he's nothing but a stand-up kind of guy.

 

Perhaps there is nothing more ironic about a guy complaining about how long a 20b install takes, than that very same person taking even longer than that to refund $50

well, if you pm'ed him as much as you say he did, then I would definitely say he deserves the negative.

He received several of my PM's about the money before he quit logging onto this site. There is no doubt he read them (If he didn't delete my PM's, the mods can check his inbox to verify). He was notified in public in the 20b swap thread several times as well. He cannot hide behind "I thought you already got the refund" excuse any longer.

Yah I will help out too! I will fly down there and after we take $50 of parts I will recoup my Airline ticket in parts also its a win win situation for all of us

That is absolutely rediculous, I knew there was something about that guy I didn't like. Sorry for your losses man, I hope the situation gets handled soon enough.

Yeah, should have probably just kept hounding him about it back when it happened. Pretty crappy of him to bloody blow you off like that back then, but why bring this up again a year later?
