Hopefully the people out of pocket paid using a credit card. If you did then file a dispute with your credit card and they'll run a chargeback.

Never buy anything on the Internet without a credit card.

Just tell them you never approved that charge and they will cancel it and refund your money; at least thats what I did last year when i was scammed.

i thought about that however i transferred money from my bank account to visa right before i sent the money to him. i don't think they will trust me on that since i moved the money myself and spent it right away.
i think it is better for me to just tell them the truth.
what do you think??

Just tell them the truth. Note that you paid for a product that was never delivered.

Stupid Kid...doesn't this constitute mail fraud in the US......

I though that was a serious offense?

Maybe if he wasn't really stupid he will give them the money back before he gets dug into a real nasty hole over less than $1K

Shouldn't be hard for the Credit company lawyers and investigators to find him......

That really blows. I was reading up on some of Myztiq's posts and it's really telling what kind of character he is the way he writes. He sounds like an 11 year old punk, what with the lack of punctuation, proper grammer, ability to spell, etc. Can't we get this fuckbucket banned? Chode-monkeys like this pansy drag an otherwise great forum/community down. What say the Mods?

Ban him and lose all hope of contact?? Seems like a poor choice. However if after a set time or lack or payment I am all for it! Sucks to have thiefs on board and everyone knowing it but not able to do much about it other than harrass them. Sorry for all of you who have been ripped off again. Guess I have just been lucky so far.......

It's kinda bunk that PayPal can't really guarantee full protection against fraud. I'm sure it's listed in their fine print somewhere that this is how it works (i.e. you can only get your money back if it's still in the other party's account), but who in their right mind will keep money in their account if they've just scammed someone?

So lame. Sorry to hear about your debacle.

Paypal is not a perfect system by any means. My friend got double refunded somehow for something that was around $2k. They still haven't contacted him and it's been a few months.

bro there is no need to push criminal charges, open the dispute with paypal, they will send him a bunch of threatening messages, if he doesnt comply within a certain amount of time u get ur money back and he loses access to paypal which will really screw him up since his credit cards are linked to it and he wont be able to open another account without deleting them from paypal.

SO dont sweat it.... if it doesnt work out all u lose is a little time but if it does so u waited a little longer then expected and still got ur item OH and if he doesn pay the rest of the money within a certain amount of time then hes really stuck cuz they send it out to collection

ps this really sucks and i know how it feels to get scammed hope it all works out for u

Good luck. If you were in the US you could turn this over to the FBI. There is a website that handles this sort of crime in the US. It's http://www.IC3.gov. If anybody ever finds themselves being defrauded over the Internet then contact this web site. It is a federal crime.
Now Dsire4u, if you bought it from a person in the US you still might want to check the web site out.
