He must not have read the forum rules...

https://www.rx8club.com/faq.php?faq=..._section_rules

- If you are found to be ripping anyone off you will be put on the 'good guy/bad guy' section by the buyer and be banned.

Public vote: Ban him? Yes or No? We'll go along with public opinion on this one.

I remember when many of us were on the losing end of the carbon fiber dash pod group buy and it hurts to be taken advantage of. This poor guy is out $600 because this jackass decided it was ok to not uphold his end of the deal. Banning him is just a light slap on the wrist in my opinion.

It just hit me...you guys can't be serious? This shouldn't even require a vote. This poor chap is out 600 large, some members confront him about this issue, he laughs back at us, and you still think we should vote whether he stays?!

WTF?! You need a public poll under these circumstances? What are you doing to help track the scammer down?

classic management style for this forum ...

I say shut him down.

He is obviously not an asset to the forum.

Nothing he has said has given a reason for his actions or that he is going to make it right.

Give him notice that he has a week to make this right, if not, he is done.

We can't track this guy down. All we can do is try to determine what's going on, and if he truly a scammer, get rid of him. We're trying to sort it all out at the moment, but as this is the first time anyone's even bothered to bring it to our attention, we're at a bit of a loss since it's apparently been going on for some time.

And the minute you start paying all of us to police this place, you can start bitching about the "management style." Until then, please keep your opinions of how we operate to yourself unless you have something constructive (and polite) to say.

Based on his refusal to answer pms sent by moderators about this situation, we're banning him. He is welcome to appeal the decision by emailing Omicron at admin@rx8club.com and explain why he should be allowed back.

It hasn't happened to me and there are 2 sides to every story. We need to fully investigate every sitation out there. Just because someone gets pissed off at someone else doens't mean we automatically ban them. He won't respond to us and I'm not hiring a hit squad to go to his house. This was a business transaction that was not a part of the forum even if the correspondence was. We had no place in it and no say with it. It's not our's to track someone down for a victim. It's theirs.

It's is our place however to manage and deal with people that want to be on this forum but have a problem with the way we do things so be careful what you say and how you say it.

I asked a question to see what the general consensus was with this party hoping that more info would come out of it. It didn't.

Interesting, one of the threads posted above has his postal code... you can zoom right in on his house in Google Maps, and I'm sure there are many many people that know their way around Ottawa...

I would love to be one of many 8's filling the streets and blocking every exit.. ha ha ha..
What a jerk.

That is some good reading IZoomZooomI.

It definitely strikes a chord when public records are posted.

This isn't the first time he didn't defend himself...

A self-styled **** hunter was before the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal yesterday arguing that an alleged white supremacist -- the first he's targeted in Ottawa -- be fined and banned from spewing hate on the Internet.

Bobby James Wilkinson, 23, of Vanier, didn't show up to answer the complaint against him.
