What was your previous car?
I just Love posts like this because it gives me an excuse to list my long car history!
Most recently, I drove a 2006 Mazda6s Grand Sport. A nice medium red with black interior it looks even better with the Mazda front end mask and a dark window tint. Also, it is debadged and I replaced the whip antenna with the Sirius antenna included in the Mazda satellite radio kit after modifying it so the wire drops though the existing hole, and it looks better than OEM. My wife's sister is driving it now and is getting hooked on zoom-zoom.
Previous cars:
2004 Mazda MPV ES - Sunlight Silver and being driven by darling wife.
1996 MB C220 - Black w/ light blue interior. One time try at conspicuous consumption. Somewhat disappointing, traded for Mazda6s.
1989 Toyota V6 SR5 Pickup - beautiful medium red pearl and a better car than truck. Traded for Mazda MPV.
1988 Mazda 626 GT - Charcoal Black, an amazing road car and ahead of its time. Totalled by ex-wife, replaced by the C220.
1982 Mazda B2000 - another Sunlight Silver - small and slow but a real truck. Traded for the Toyota.
1979 Mazda 626 Coupe - light blue hardtop. As soon as it was paid off, I pulled the 4-cyl/auto and dropped in a ported 13b/manual with lots of Racing Beat goodies. What a sleeper!
1976 Mazda RX-4 Wagon - yellow with wood grain applique. A grocery-getter that was replaced by the much more economical B2000.
1973 RX-2 - light blue sedan bought slightly used in 1975 with a genuine Mazda racing stripe along the bottom of the doors: cool stuff at the time. This car was virtually transformed into a slalom car by some Racing Beat suspension pieces, wider wheels and stiff KYBs. Even more fun with RB intake & exhaust, it then became a cop magnet. Totalled after being wrapped around a tree alongside an icy road, replaced by the RX-4.
1970 Toyota Corona Mark II - my first car, bought as a dealer leftover in 1972. Not very reliable or fun to drive but a great car to be driving during the first great gas crisis. Sold for college tuition money.
As is usual for me, a whole lot more info than was asked for but like I said; I Love posts like this. All cars were purchased new except those noted.
BTW, my new RX-8 just turned 2500 miles and I already feel like keeping it forever. Of all the cars I've owned, I enjoy modifying and personalizing the Mazdas most. I think it is because they get closer to my heart and become like a member of the family.

1999 Ford Windstar SE - The Gold Nugget was a sweet ride, God rest her smutty soul.
Before that I had a 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix SE, and before that a 1994 Ford F-150.
Needless to say, I LOVE my 8 with every fiber of my being.
I will second Omega8's feelings - NEVER BUY A PONTIAC.

My cars have always been manual....my first car was a 1988 Toyota Celica GT back in college which my dad taught me to drive in. Then I purchased a 1997 Acura Integra Anniversary Edition, then moved up to a 1999 Acura Integra Type-R, then a Mitsubishi Galant, then back down to a 1990 Acura Integra LS, and finally thanks to God, I'm the happy owner of a 2005 Mazda RX-8 GT!
