91 Toyota MR2 NA auto, then traded it in for a
91 Toyota MR2 Turbo. Went to hell and back, then sold it to a friend.
Cars I test drove before I got the 8 were a GTI, a GTO, and a Cooper S. I knew the 8 wasn't gonna have any pull during the test drive, but when I took a corner a little hot (I warned the saleslady,) the car stuck like glue and then I fell in love. I miss the torque and the gas mileage from my 2, but I knew that it was time to move on. The 8 and the S were my top 2 favorites but RWD won out.

Btw, actually i had a few more cars than those listed (all were mine, none of em shared .... I don't even let my Mom 'n' Dad near em.....hehehe)...... The ones that i owned for more than 4 months only made tha list...... Honda Accord just made it coz i only owned that for 5 months.....

Yeah...to be honest though the switch was motivated by $$ though, not pure preference. But, 3 weeks into RX-8 ownership I am happy!
I like to try new things, I don't usually keep a car more than a year or so...I'm 24 and as you can see, this is my 7th car (plus 2 motorcycles). I've liked the RX-8 since it came out, and thought it would be cool to give the rotary a try

2002 mitsu lancer oz rally. it was my first car i had it for three years and the only maitinence i did to it was the oil changes no belts no flushes ha ha ha.but it never broke down miss the mpg.traded it in for a 2004 metallic/brown leather 6speed 8.never looked back. glad i chose it over the z.z owners are too cocky and get mad when their car gets second place in the magazine shootouts......

I was driving 2000 Hyundai Tiburon 5pd and still own it. It has only 74000 miles. The car was nice, great MPG, syn oil, engine was super strong. my 8 is in a garage, resting, saving mileage(currently 75000 miles for 2004 RX-8).

I learned while test driving that RX-8 salesmen don't know how to sell the car... they show you a bunch of straight roads, and its a very lackluster car in comparison to others of the class... but then, I found mine for a great price, and figured I would take it for a spin, give the car one last chance and, this salesmen knew where to take an RX-8 for a spin. Fell in love almost instantly.

-1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T (too loud, too "flashy", too much trouble w/ State Troopers; a real cop magnet
)
-2004 Mazda RX-8 (would have hung on to the Eclipse much longer had I not got pulled over so many freakin' times; the Eclipse gave me some 9 awesome years of service, though)
Many people have told me that I just went from a flashy ride (the Eclipse) to another flashy one (the RX-8). But then the very same people also love the RX-8 and think that it's very cool.
