VW R32 HPA turbo kit

Has anyone else seen this? $30k for a turbo kit. I thought I spent alot of money on my car, but apparently there's people who are much worse. I don't understand how this kit can even be worth that much. The turbo's are just regular K04's, nothing special.

I think I saw this kit or a kit like it in an issue of "Car & Driver" a while back. That was about the price and power levels if I remember correctly!

so.... most people buy a vehicle and then install (build) a turbo... i guess for this kit, you have to buy the turbo and build the car around it! LOL..... that is insane! but seriously....... those are some kickass HP-TQ #'s!!!!

I guess in all fairness, I don't think you could buy any brand new car for $60k that does 0-60 in 3.2s Even a vipor isn't that fast.

These guys are just down the street from me. I have talked to them a few times. They built some very cool cars for Volkswagon for SEMA.........

They are THE VW and Audi tuners right now

They told me how much got spent on the Jetta...and I damn near barfed...

But if you're talking modding a car and dollars spent you can make other cars like the Evo and STI (and several others) just as fast or faster for far less.

I don't want to see anyone complaining about the price of RX-8 turbo kits anymore.
