I like how it looks. I don't think we really got screwed just because we do not get the JDM YO version. It is suppose to weigh about what the old model did and it is getting a big motor with more hp. It is a mazda so it will be reasonably sporty for what it is and since all the other cars in its category have poked up and now drive like Buicks i think that this model will sell much better than the previous one.

Also, Mazda Japan (Hofu Plant) does not have the capacity to make the US 6 Model..
Let Ford do that at Flat Rock.

What was changed? Compared to this, all I can see are the front bumper ducts and exhaust outlets. It looks like it's going to be like the current Mazda6 5-door, which I like a lot.

I guess I'm one of the few people who actually like the both versions of the 6. Regardless, the US version looks much better and more interesting than the Malibu, Altima, Accord and Camry. The only one close is the Altima, because it was a well-done albeit conservative update of the previous one. The Accord is derivative and the Camry is a bore.
Also the 6 will be so much more fun to drive than the others. Bring on those comparison tests. Zoom zoom!

there is a discrepancy on that. - 2 outlets including MotorTrend have stated the 6 speed manual as an option on both engines. i am getting Mr. Barnes to clarify. Should have his response in a few days

Looks like a Rx-8 screwd a Camry.
Overall I can see Mainstream America falling in love with this car. Just stinks it doesnt look like the EU version only slightly bigger. Maybe a MS6 Version will correct that?

Truly disappointing.
It looks very confused, leaning towards a jelly bean shape, then getting the rake treatment, and ending up with flared wheel wells.
That is just ugly.

Down Under we have had the Jap version on the road for a while now and it really
does not look that much larger than the previous model.
I don't know what the specs (dimensions) of the new US Mazda 6 are, how much wider and or longer is it...does anyone know?
On first look it just seems heavier, but I can't really see the difference in size, ie, gaps between headlamps and grille, hood and fenders, roof pillars and sunroof, all look the same.
