I know you guys are tired of hearing the name "350Z" by now, but as car enthusiasts, I thought you guys might enjoy this vid. It's the first actual vid i've seen so far of a twin turbo Z. Looks like hes making some pretty decent power b/c he races an EVO a couple of times. I can't wait to see the first vids of a turbo RX-8. How much boost do you guys think the RX-8 could take? And I wonder what a blow off valve would sound like at 9K RPM's?

It's actually kind of sad the Z only pulled 2 cars from a roll while the EVO has maybe 1k (depending on how much the engine management is) in mods. Thanks for the vid though

 

...that's it?? i mean, not to be condescending (not like i have my own hand-built 13BREW sitting in my garage waiting to slide into an FD... yet) but doesn't really strike me as the most abitious project for the hardware he's working with (the VQ).

 

The renesis will make 330bhp max in current form without internal mods with a turbo IMO.

10:1 compression etc - it wasnt made to take boost - want more you have to open it up.

Hey, it's not my car...i just post the vids. I agree with ike, I don't think hes making as much HP as he says he is. Hes using 2 tiny (i don't know what brand, but i'm pretty sure its not the greddy) G2 turbos at 7 psi. Sure the results are not as awesome as with the old Supra/RX7, but its a start.

 

Are you talking about in a straight or in the twisties? If you're talking about straight, then I accept your challenge, however I will be on my little 600 bike. It will do 0-60 in the 4sec range. What will you be driving? :D

I had a run-in with a turbocharged Z33 while driving to school one day. I was impressed. I wonder how much boost the VQ35DE can handle.
