I was searching around about when top gear season 11 started and this was just posted today. Apparently, sometime during the new season, the top gear team intends to drive the Furai.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was the fastest thing ever around their track, including the French F1 car they tested at 58 seconds.

As much as I like the Furai, it is nothing but a race car. It is super cramped inside too. So i highly doubt that this car will see production status.

 

i'd like to see it Race in the P1 class.

what if.. mazda was developing the furai platform to bring into the market as their supercar..

it'll never see production status but it sure will be fun on the track.

 

Every video i see of the Furai, there are two people in the cockpit. Can't be all that small or uncomfortable.

I have to agree, as much as I would like to see Mazda step into the Super car realm, i don't think the Furai will be the car to do that. I do hope they race it in the ALMS as a P1 racer.

 

And on the 8th day God said "Let Clarkson test the Furai...." and it was so, but baby Jesus wept due to the loud exhaust note which made God smile. God is a sadist didnt ya know? haha

I just do what I can by watching full episodes of Top Gear on random sites....I'd love to see them on TV, though.

 

Unless the front end is relatively high, they will not post the time on the board as all cars have to be able to get over a speed hump...
