Yeah. I'm sure there are quite a few 3 letter agencies that would tracking you down.

it doesn't matter, those ******** will still do it. and for some reason I see more female "texters" than male drivers.

If u wanna see how bad it is, come drive in NYC. I would say hmm you will see at least 1 "texting *******" in ... 3 days.

This whole instant communication thing is out of control...like people who are talking to me in PERSON, phone rings, "uh; hold on let me get that!" Are you ******' kidding me, you are going to make a live human being wait so you can talk to someone electronically?

I definitely think they should be illegal in cars. The military did it a long time ago (on base) - works well since we all have to follow the rules. Now I watch people drive off base, and as soon as they cross the line, out comes the phone.... ugh!
What's amazing is that you are in Va right? I believe it's illegal in Va. is it not?
My daughters in Arlington and I believe I remember that it is.

I have a very hot woman friend that I don't even take out to dinner for this very reason anymore. We will be having a nice dinner and her damn phone rings, then she will proceed to have a ten minute conversation. No way.............I'm out! Once I even got up and left once(we had taken separate cars).
She wants to spend the night....fine, leave the cellphone in the car!

I think I understand but you all shouldn't be so strict with technologically handicapped folks like me!

Sort of along similar lines, but if you are gonna get arrested, make it count..........................punch him in the face or bitch slap him!

oh, and WTF is "suspicion of misdemeanor battery"??????

Dec 29, 1:09 PM (ET)

BOISE, Idaho (AP) - Police say an Idaho man on a Southwest Airlines flight from Las Vegas punched a teenage passenger who refused to turn off his iPhone as the plane approached the Boise airport.

Officers arrested 68-year-old Russell E. Miller, of Boise, late Tuesday on suspicion of misdemeanor battery.

Witnesses told police the 15-year-old was playing games and listening to music on his cell phone when flight attendants instructed passengers to turn off their electronic devices because the plane was landing.

Witnesses told police that when the teen didn't respond, Miller got angry and punched the boy in the arm.

Jail records show Miller has been released from police custody, but he couldn't be reached for comment. The two phone listings for Russell Miller in the Boise area were disconnected.

Now, nobody go off the deep end here, I know most cellphones have airplane mode, or allow you to turn off calls, I merely put this on here to bolster the point made above and I too blame parents for raising inconsiderate, ill mannered, pretentious, brats.

Yup!! The world would be a much different place if common courtesy and manners were applied in the early education curriculum...

It was something I did once in a while with my old Nokias, but with touch phones it's insanity to type while driving.Even talking in the phone takes a scary amount of attention away from the road, don't want other drivers around that do that.

this is why my rex has her own cell phone jammer installed. 80meter range. you can put the phone down, and either pull over or wait to text.

on that note they are adding a new feature to phones sometime this year that wont allow you to text while the phones moving.

I've got stuff to build this one cept for the frequency mixer, easy and cheap
http://blockyourid.com/~gbpprorg/mil...le_Celljam.png

This voltage controlled oscillator is a better one. This one might do a couple Watts and again I have most of the pieces already. But this is pushing the limits of what I could build considering the need to troubleshoot/tweak the circuit if it doesnt magically perform according to calculation the first try. I'd really need to seek advice of a few friends for this

This is really the best idea though, I've seen one:

spend 30 bucks, spend an hour touching up cheapo construction and making minor modifications to boost power and you'll kill anything within 40-50ft guaranteed.

There are a world of options out there, I spent around 115 dollars for mine, and it blocks everything upto 4g. Sometimes though you get interference on the radio so thats my one and only warning that you could loose a station or two from time to time. Mine blocks all known signals that cell phones put out upto the new 4g services. Now with that being said there was an upgraded model that even blocked gps signals if you wanted to get that technical. But my system works wonderfully, its remote controlled so I can turn it off if I pull over and need to call someone.

thats awesome man, i most certainly couldnt build anything like that. cause unless its a porcupine of antenni, it'd require a pair of phase lock loop circuits. beyond my abilities to really even follow

This is a sad commercial but it's true. It's scarier looking at the younger generations (today's entering high school students and younger) all they know how to do is text and be distracted. It's super discomforting when you drive down the road and you see a 16 year old trying to text and do make up...Maybe there should be a law against women doing make-up in their car also.
