Key difference between BRZ and GT-86/FSR is spring rate....ok...
The more I look into those 2 cars, the more I like my 8.
Second thought, they feel like revised tc to me now....same marketing..

I'm not a huge fan of either but having a RWD sports car enter the market is a good thing for all of us. These cars have potential, just wait for Pro Drive or TRD gets ahold of one.
^ Just get the FR-S rumored to be ~$21K range, do the rest yourself. There's bound to be mods galore.
Here's what I'd do with the e-cheapo Scion version...
1. 2-pc lightweight rotors all around w/SS brake lines (~$1200)
2. TRD supercharger (~$2500?) <<<<<-------------------------------this was the other 'big' possible news!
3. Take the front vents out etc., stick in the roll cage (~$1000?) <<<<---purpose built for it from TRD
4. Import the gauge cluster from the GT-86 / ditch the radio (~$500?)
5. Get whosever racing seats and ditch stock (~$2000?)
6. Add BRZ spoiler (~$500)
7. Some 17" 15lbs racing wheels (~$1000)
8. Coilovers (~$2000)
Total cost: ~$31,700

Right now it's just a new car beauty contest. I like it, I don't like it. However, the aim of producing a fun, affordable, tuneable sports car platform similar to the MX-5, or late RX-8, and others - has come into being. Who would argue that's a bad target? I want more people to buy sports cars. That way we'll get more of them!
Although a small sample, fans agree on the aim http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2295

Can't understand why folks don't get this.
I do not like the clear tails and was thinking it would look better red. Here is PS someone did at ft86 and it looks better. I can see it being a popular mod like it is with the STi crowd.

The price is just right. I was guessing that it will be above 30k.
