not really, it makes no sense.

Oh yeah, NASIOC doesn't have a kills section either. People are ridiculed for posting kill stories, just like they are here. There goes that retarded theory. Just because you have 300hp doesn't mean you can't be responsible with it.

All other things kept constant, the 8 with 300hp would be a better car.

That combination only produces results when more than 17 stickers are used for products which you don't own.

Wrong My friend has 16 stickers a c/f inverted hood and a helmet and his car is quick. His next mod is wheelie bars. Plus he uses helium instead of nitrous.

Nonsense, That would jack up the price, reduce ride quality and comfort. A waste of time IMO. You can turbo it if thats what your into. I'd rather go to bikes for kill power, which I don't. Speed kills, handling saves lives.

Let me repeat a key part of that statement which you don't seem to have understood....All other things kept constant (like say price ). Though, I have no idea why an extra 70 hp would reduce ride quality and comfort.

And what is all this kill power talk? what makes 232 hp fine, but 300 hp kill power?

Ok after reading all of these reply's i am really wondering why anyone would go for that micro machine looking car. The Sti looks like a transformer took a ****. Correct me if i am wrong but the weight ratio with the rx8 would help you take an Sti in handeling on some back roads. I honestly think the rx8 is the best looking sports car on the road right now except the Viper. Off the line i know its not that great but it is still fun as hell on some back roads.

what the heck...how does more power reduce ride quality and comfort? for example the bentley continental GT makes like 500hp and has a ride quality and comfort 2x better than the rx8, i dont understand how your arguement is logical in any sense.

Let me explain it to you. What you're basing your disbelief on is opinion. Different people, as crazy as it sounds, have different opinions.

Well from all the observations that i have made from reading all of the reply's on this site. I was taken by an eclipse gt on a *closed course* and i was quite disapointed i hope he had some mods. But i also raced a new 350 z on a *closed strip* and beat it off the line. I hear the z is faster but i definately took it.

*mod edit

If you add 70 hp/tq to the 8 your gonna want an upgraded suspension to handle the extra forces on the car. I suppose you could get by with stock but it's on the soft side. The car might get squirrley with full throttle. The Continenal is heavier/expensive and not meant to handle like a light weight sportscar. It has a very advanced air suspension to handle all the power. The 8's upgrade would probably be less expensive and produce a harsher/stiffer ride reducing ride quality and comfort.

Any 300hp/ 3000lb sportscar is a kill machine. There's just not much out there stock that will take it on curves or straight line.

If you upgrade yourself and do it right expect 5 grand+ for turbo and suspension upgrades. Realistically price will have to rise from present Msrp's. I'm not power hungary and enjoy the car the way it is.

Once again this is not a kill forum do not post your kills or lack there of.

That said you being taking by a Eclipse GT on a *closed course* means that you either a didn't downshift into a low enough of a gear, you can't drive, or there is something wrong with your car. (I'm assuming you talking about the old non turbo v6 eclipses) If your talking about the new GT then it would have about a 2 car length edge on you.

Beeting a car off the line all comes down to the drive and launching in an optimum setup the Z would not have lost.

I suggest you take a driving school and track the car if you really wanna see it shine performance wise, beside a good driver behind an rx8 can beat a shitty one in any car that you consider "faster".
