Spherical Valve piston engines???
Hey I searched and found nothing, here's a video for Coates Spherical Valve piston engines....pretty cool.
Supposedly they use higher compression like a 12 to 1 or more. with increased fuel efficiency. 30% more efficient. dunno watch the video. check out the website.

seems like a good idea.
after spending billions on their new electric plug-in, or hydrogen systems, i cant see any major automaker buying this patent.
as most, this company could sell their own engines for custom motorcycles

Piston engines will be around for a long while let. Anything that increases their efficiency further is something auto makers would be interested in. There are also racing applications...

Some inventors need to be SCHOOLED oldstyle!
In 1939, what do you think the great Felix (may he rest in peace) Wankel was working on for Dornier and Heinkel bomber engines?
Who guessed rotary valves? Correctamundo.
He saw how inefficient and wasteful it was to have these metal bits jumping up and down, then he looked down into the cylinder bore and must have thought 'ich kann besser tun.....' (I can do better!)
