That looks great! I think it's definitely a great idea. The only other car I saw rx8 parts on was an Eclipse...it was strange. Had our headlights and taillights. Gotta say RX parts definitely look better when they're kept in the family .

A 13bre is the twin turbo cosmo motor, the 13brew was in the FD, BOTH make more power due to the turbos.......no joke. There wasn't a 13b-re that was NA.

That was the point I was making, a turbo generating 255 where a NA ren 232. If you could remove the turbos you would be sitting well below. Even the silly Greddy tacks on 30 - 40...

Saying the Ren is crap and the 13bre is better just show he does not know wtf he is taking about.

That doesn't make much sense but I see your point. But realize the re was designed for turbos 13+ years ago, and the newer series7 FD made 280 hp with TT. I never said the Ren. was crap, but it does seem to have some MAJOR issues, but what rotary didn't? Mazda made leaps in emissions and OBDII compatibility with the rotary as well as HP. There is no doubt that a OEM Ren. based TT motor would surpass power output of the13BTT-REW but as it stands RIGHT NOW, fully built 13brew's are making more power that max modded Ren. motors, but give it time and the tables will more than likely turn IMO.

the Renesis is a great motor no doupt. it serves its purpose.. mazda designed it to be a reliable new age engine that produces an adequate amount of power.... im not trying to bash the ren. and i admit the 13B-RE/REW were pretty unreliable because of mazda's cooling design and the craptastic stock twins.

why not- all of the seals are better than on the rew. everything else is just as strong. port configuration may not let you get to 650 but it could still handle it if the rew can(if it could flow enough).

but will a 1mm apex seal hold that kind of power longer than a dyno pull? Just curious, what is the top HP around the Ren. circles?
