And in my opinion, a pretty darn cool conversion! Lambo doors aside, of course.

Just my 2 cents, but the owner took what I think is the least attractive aspect of the Rx-8- the front end- and grafted it onto a car I've always thought was damn good looking to begin with.

But it's personal......

I always thought the rx7 front looked like it needed something. The 8's front looks better then the 7, but something about the front having fender flares and the back just straight doesn't seem right. It looks pretty good, color aside, but I think rear fender flares would do it...

lol.. imho thats just a great way to turn a FD into some kind of ugly monster... why ruin it when you have probably the best looking car on earth with clean curves and simple but beautiful styling.

and i couldnt agree more with this that was posted on rx7club

I can't stand those fender flares and that supposed rotor-shaped hood.
looks like the head of a *****.
the fenders on the miata look ok though, maybe cus they toned it down a little and made it look like a car and not a phallus.
but yeah, i think if they changed the front on the 8, it could look hot. the 7 is perfect the way it is.

Long nose makes it look kinda like the BMW - Mc, Paint job unique but acceptable for a racer, it could grow on you.

it looks pretty good but it does ruin the exotic look of the FD, make it look liek a wide body kit, pruple one is done better, but still not the essence of that rx-7, as for the light s they make conversation kits that look pretty good that do nt tflip up or that flip up half way. I personally like Flip up headlihgts but no oen really make them any more, i am not saying that i woudl take an 8 with flip-up headlights, i just like t\hem.

well alrighty then I guess it's real, those first pics looked off to me so i thought it was chopped, in any case, considering there are a kuhjillion 8s running around and only a limited amout of decent Fd's (of which they don't make anymore) I'd have to call it a waste, but props for trying to be different...I guess...ugh

after looking at that pic of the white FD compared to the modded out FDs, the white one looks cleanest . the only thing that gets to me about them, is the flip up lights. aside from that, the FD is an awesome looking car IMO .

like someone said on rx7club./... u see the rx8 front end and you see the sharp way too busy lines... then you reach the windsheild and BAM! smooth curves.. not working there. i like the stock looks of a FD no offense... and yes the flip ups too. i dont think you can have a cleaner smoother looking car. and the flip adds that old fashion true sports car look to it. when it pops up its like a beast waking up.

on the purple one, you loose the hood, the mirors and the rear spoiler and replace that with the original and put some pettit rear fender flares and it may look realy good and of course another color.

One thing I really like on the seven is the door handles, tucked away in the b-pillar.

If a person shaves handles off a car and does the door poppers. What happens if the battery on the car goes dead?

I like the looks of the Bulletproof Automotive 7 better but that is probably because of the front bumper having the lip.

I hate the bulletproof hood, but other than that it's ok.

Wow, people from rx7club don't like the rx8 styling and are obsessed w/the 7 the way it is.... shocking!

I think it's kinda cool and that took a hell of a lot of work to do. I second the notion of an MS front.

You have an emergency relaease that manually pops the door placed somewhere inconspicous on the car, most people do the front inner fenderwells, or even someplace underneath the vehicle. A few braver souls might even do it underneath the mirror but to me that is just too obvious. I had shaved handles on a hatch, so whenever I had any issues it was easy for me to pop the hatch and crawl in through the back lol

we dont hate the rx8's styling.. it just lost the sexy natural curves of the previous RX generations... rx8 is just was too busy, seriously look at the lights and fenders and everything! what happened to those sexy curves? lol but i still like the 8 no doupt but it just lost that sports car feel

I wouldn't say it lost the sports car feel. There are plenty people here that would claim otherwise.

It's all a matter of preference. Personally, I love the styling of both. Maybe that's why I think the hybrid is pretty cool.
