That thing is awesome! (aside from the pink)
They definitely get a lot of points for style and execution. (fitment looks as good as it can probably get) Just wish they would have put the front lip on.

Take a look at the 2 front ends and tell me what you think, isn't it obvious!
Look how much wider they had to make the 7's fenders to fit the FE!!! DUH.

LOL... IMO it'd take a wind tunnel to make any conclusive statement one way or the other... and unless there is some parasitic airflow interaction, then it'll still be around the same as it was before, since the RX8 isn't significantly less aerodynamic than the FD...
Why are we discussing this anyway, I'm sure she's not doing any land speed attempts in it, and it's not like its gonna be more efficient (unless they put the RX8 engine in too )... so I think it's purely dependent on if you like the looks or not... personally I love the looks of both cars... and I do think that makes the FD look more modern... I don't think I'd be willing to spend the time/money to do it, but I do like it...

while on the topic of transforming the FD into an 8, has anybody seen a fully built 8 body on an FD? that would be very wrong to do, but i'm sure somebody out there has been wanting to do it.

Yes, she is a member on the darkside if I remember correctly. Here is a link to the website with the build pics for her car. You have to click to enter, click on project cars, then click on RX7 on the left. This car as been posted before, but enjoy.
