Potenza RE92s came on my 2003 Mazda Protege and they are the worst tires I have ever owned. Terrible in wet. Deadly in snow. Shame on Bridgestone.

They're one of the most commonly used OEM tires on the road. I know Nissan/Infiniti, Subaru, Toyota, Honda, and apparently Mazda all use them.

There has been a lot of speculation that there will be something between the GT and the GT500, but that's all it is right now, speculation. No one knows anything. Unless you are talking about the Shelby CS6 Mustang, which is the V6 with a supercharger (~350 hp).

Rowdy, you have a family and want something safe: the STI is one of the safest cars in its class, so dont think you are getting some unsafe rocket! The Evo is the one with no side airbags, and the base lancer got poor side impact crash ratings. Have you test driven an STI? After you do, you will be addicted. As someone else nailed it: turbos are like crack.

The dealer has two grays I believe. I don't know if they allow test drives. It's going to tick me off if I go down there and they hassle me about that. I have never had a problem before in getting any test drive but it seems with the STi some dealerships give people fits. It does help though if I am 38 and pull up in an 8.

38 will help a lot. Still, when my roommate was shopping for the STI, every single dealership had "no test drive" policy.

If the dealer sells a lot of them it shouldn't be a problem. The only time I've had a problem test driving cars is if they only have one of the lot and it hasn't be driven. Although I did stop by to drive a '06 WRX at a dealer on Fri. and they didn't have any left. All they had was one '06 STI with 5 miles, the guy was practically begging me to testdrive it. Maybe that's the key, act like you don't want to drive one
