Yeah, it's likely. They all glow about the 8s when they do talk about them, but just ignore them mostly.
The 70 is turning faster laps than the 71 by a second or so every lap, so don't think the 71 will overtake on speed alone.

40 is still going and doing OK. Only ~10 laps behind the #70. Long shot for a podium but good chance they finish the race which was the minimum that Dempsey was looking for after having so many problems the last couple years.
Great work by Speedsource so far. Shame about the 69 but they've been running a solid, smart race so far. Knocking on every piece of wood I see right now.

Sahlen car is in the top 5 as well. Hope to see these guys improve over the year. The Nonnamakers have been around for a long time and they've really stepped up their program this year.

#19 vette backed it into a wall, heavy rear damage, likely full course caution.
This might close the 71 up to the 70, depending on where the pace car picks up the field.
Looks like 57 Camero may have been involved, front end looks ... skewed, lots of tire rub.

yeah, #41 is back out.
Good job for Dempsey racing for attempting to finish the race with both their cars. They will certainly be right up there with Speedsource in the races to come.
So far so good for Sahlen's 43 too.
More troubles for the Camaros, man they've really been bumping into everyone, who have they NOT bumped into? I guess the visibility sucks inside, or the bodywork is too frigging huge and rectangular, like a brick.
Speedsource still going strong, few laps between the P2 car now.

Ive always like the Stevenson team, in all thier interview you can always tell they are really good down to earth people(actually most of the teams and personell of every team are) but I ve always liked them because they started out small and usually with older equipment. This year is thier first year that they have a newly produced car,,,
That doesnt mean that the Mazdas still arent my favs,,,

Overfilled the oil on a stop, spilled onto the header, caused the fire, was mostly burnt off by the time it came back in the next lap, but when they went to turn the 69 back on, water gushed out of the tail pipes, so they packed it up.

The Turkish Delight
I just noticed that the #70 exhaust is at the rear instead of dumping before the rear tire like before. Was it like that last season too? Anyone know the reason for the change?
