My Other Toy

I went for a fun ride yesterday and took some pics so I thought I'd share. It's a 2007 Big Dog K9. 117 c.i. motor. Nearly 2,000 cc's.

Cool. Kind of an odd bike for an RX-8 owner though. 90% of the 8 owners who have bikes own crotch rockets.

^^Thanks. I had a Yamaha R6 before this bike. Just thought I'd switch it up.

I love it!
I always liked choppers. The "it's useless, dangerous and handles like crap but i don't give a damn" attitude they represent truly gets me!

Very nice! I dont have my moto license yet, nor do i know how to properly ride, but if and when I do learn, the HD Fatboy Lo is one of my favorite bikes - http://dalefranks.com/cycles/wp-cont...Fat_Boy_Lo.jpg

Nice ride! I like the stylings of the Big Dog bikes, especially the Pit Bull.

I'm not really into flames and airbrushing though.

I love motorcycles but I've never driven anything like this. What is the suspension like? What about the weight difference between tires?

The suspension isn't bad. It's a soft-tail, so it's got a rear suspension which definitely helps. It you hit any kind of pot hole, you definitely feel it though, especially up front. I'm not sure exactly what the weight difference is, but it feels really well balanced and well planted on the road. The 300 mm rear tire helps with that.

Sweet bike. Looks like fun to ride.

I am the stereotypical RX-8 owner that owns a crotch rocket.

Hey MazdaJeff, did you do the bokeh blurring in post or is that purely by lens?
What cool pair of machines.

That's awesome, it has a bigger engine and bigger rear tire than your 8

Air cooled, no rear suspension and too much chrome for my taste but I'm sure these are mainly bought for the look/noise. Funny though it looks like it has rear foot pegs but that's definitely a 1-seater!

It's got a rear suspension. And it can have a rear seat, it just wasn't on for the pics.
